Poll: Who will take time off to watch over their Dd or DS forthe first few days of P1? For how many days?
-
I will take leave on Day 1 only - have 2 boys experiencing first day in their schools: #1 for Primary 1 and #2 for pre-nursery... so got to run between 2 venues!! How exciting.

Iβm a SAHM, so will be on the toes for the first week!
Btw, how many sets of PE attire should we get, ideally? -

It's going to be a very exciting day for your #2 boy! Hope he will enjoy his first day of school!

same here too. I also like the chinese culture at NYPS. I put him on the waitlist not becsuse it is an elite school but it is the nearest to my place.mintee:
Just curious, who actually choose BTPS as first choice? :?
NYPS was my first choice, however was balloted out at 2C.
Nevertheless, DS is still excited about BTPS because there is no need to
sstuck in the school shirt.
DH alco like tje quiet environment. Overall, it looks like a place will be a happy place for DS to study.
I an just worried about his travelling distance. Bus pick-up time is 6:15am!
They quoted me 6.05am earliest. It's really too early! Thus, I opt to drive DS to and fro from school.. -

Thanks mintee! I hope so too! #2 is really all grown up now, sometimes even picking a book and pretending to read by himself, or breaking into song (haha!). I think he's more ready for school at 3, as compared to when he was 18 months when I tried to put him in a playgroup which didn't quite work out as he wasn't ready (physically - the travelling by bus and all the walking in the hot sun made him sick)!huaywenandkenneth:

I remembered how much DS cried when I sent him to playgroup when he was 18 months then! (lasted for 3 weeks!)

I'm really glad to see that BTPS sent letter informing us the activities on orientation day and what's going to happen for the 1st week of school too! Eg, P5 buddy will be helping the P1s to ease into BTPS and what are the items to bring each day for first week!
So far, I feel very good about BTPS! :imcool: -
My DS is in Integrity.. He is all excited about going P1.
Attended the orientation on Monday. The school environment is good.. The kids are helpful and polite. Have a positive vibe about the place.

Yup, my son quickly made 3-4 friends in his class P1 Resilience already.
I like the fact that the students are given many opportunities in BTPS - e.g. the boys who were doing AVA, the P1-3s who had the chance to perform by playing in the junior band sang and danced...
My hubby asked a lot of questions when we met his form teacher who is a most patient lady. I think my boy is in good hands.
Only gripe is that the hall and classrooms are hot.... maybe we are too pampered
