Think we hve an alien here whoose mentality dates back to a century ago. Btw, I hve an American and a Japanese in-laws but I also know that US is now a debtor to China.

You may wish to try RGS (last year's COP 260).Maybe slightly lower this year. NJC may be a better option than Anderson and Cedar based on your results.
I'll urge you to apply for IP schools.
