PSLE 2010 Results Report Here

Hi,
My girl achieved 248. We are from China, and she started studying in Singapore in 2008.
We are wondering whether this is enough for Saint Nichloas Girls’ School? The other one we are considering is Anderson.
We live close to Yio Chu Kang MRT.
Appreciate you suggestion/advice.

Hi Jian Rong
Worth a try. Last year COP was 251, quite close to your son's result.yongjianrong:
HI Anyone pls give me your view
Do you think i can try RVH. My son 247 plus HMT 1point 248.
Choosing Nanhua (Clementi Ave 1, near to NUS High) would be safer for 240s. Perhaps you can consider that. The benefit of that, if your son's results improve, he can apply into NUS High when he's in year 3.
Yea, i am thinking RV 1st choice 2nd choice Nan Hua. But i dont understand that when you say he can apply NUS High in year 3? meaning a normal transfer? And what is your opinion of NUS High?
Pupils can enter NUS High in Year 3 via DSA (or is it called something else?) and the shift is just a few hundred metres. I recommend NUS High coz they have the facilities in the main NUS and you can ''fast-forward'' if the results are good enough. (learn things that are going to be learnt in future years, not sure whether it's considered skipping levels) -
For cut-off-point COP comparison (every year can be slightly different), see ==> http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/psle-cops-2009-and-2010-secondary-1-intake
For last year's 'O' level results comparison , see==> http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/press/files/2010/01/o-level-result-annex-a.pdf
The above only shows the academic side of a school.
Some may consider many other things such as school culture, all-girl school, CCA etc
Good luck!greg:

nope its 276 by 2 girls; next is 273, another 2 girls.Hi!
I checked with a parent in Nanyang whose child is in P6. She say the top scorer in Nanyang is 272 from GEP! Highest in mainstream is 271! CONFIRM!!
Any news from Rulang??

I have a T score of 254 (+1)
Will I have a chance to get into DHS, considering I have a GE status and that the COPs would be lower this year?
Thanks for the help!
I was :!: when I saw my low score of 254. Fortunately, I found out that the PSLE overall T-score also was really low
BTW: I HATE THIS YEAR'S PSLE!!!! ONLY THE CAREFUL PUPILS BENEFIT FROM THIS, NOT THE SMART ONES(like me) :x :x :x :x :x
PS: I have EESIS. -

My dd scored 255+2HMT, 3A* and an A. She still wants to try for NYGH, RGS, NJC, followed by St Nics.
Seems so risky - I would happily settle for St Nics, as it will be walking distance from our home when the sch move back in 2012. But she still wants to try! But I'm thankful for her results, as she is the cool as cucumber type
