I assume that you do not have an elder child, nor an ex-student of the school, nor a PV/grassroot leader? THen you would be in phase 2C. If u make a statuory declaration of ur parent as a caretaker, u would be under 1-2km category.
For Yu Neng, last year it conducted balloting under phase 2C for those staying within 1 km only. So if the same scenerio happens this year, you would not even have a chance to ballot.
Do read the MOE guidelines on the categorisation of phases:

Anyone can share yr advice?
We did PV for Kong Hua, like the school very much though it’s a SAP school but not as stressful as Tao Nan. We choose that school as my DS is very strong in his 2nd language and not so academic driven.
However in case we can’t get in the school, there aren’t much choices of school near our place, Telok Kurau (within 1km) & St Stephan (within 1-2km) but DH prefers mixed school. Explored Ngee Ann and Geylang Methodist but outside of 2km. Help! Will u go for St Stephan phase 2C so not not to jepordise the opporty? -

st stephen no ballot for last year (1-2 Km0, as for ngee ann. no ballot as well..... so it should be quite 'safe' if u choose ngee ann...Anyone can share yr advice?

Thanks doggylittle.
Any comments for Ngee Ann? I know St Stephan their chinese is quite bad…Dilemma…It’s the "fan-ness" during such time of the year. -

i find the school not bad, as its under the NGEE ANN KONG SI, it has affilation to ngee ann seconday (school of distinction) . so if u want you child 一路上to secondary school. then its a good choice. my cousin did a 'search' and say the PSLE passing rate is quite good.....Thanks doggylittle.

she doing PV in ngee ann.
as i am a teochew and rather involve in the teo ann huay kuan, the children from ngee ann is always call to perform during big days... their chinese orchestra and chinese dance ( but i think boys dun need chinese dance as CCA
) also from what i know , this school's performaning arts good, i also understand that they will have their own concert yearly at victoria concert hall....

Why Yu Nen is so popular? I saw her PSLE pass rate is lower than national average but has quite a few very high score student these years.
