I am new to the forum and will be enrolling mine kid to Primary 1 this year. If mine house is within 1 km from the school but both parent are not ex-student, which phase do mine child fall under?

basically, distance is not a factor in considering phase eligibility. It is only a factor for balloting within a phase.

Since you and your hubby are not related to the school, it is most likely your child is only eligible for phase 2C. Do read the FAQ.

This year is gonna be a tough year for me liao



1.DS P1 Reg
2.DD P6 - dun live wif me de
3.DH -shift work

1st Choice : PHPS - 0.96 km
2nd Choice : Henry Park - 1.98km
3rd Choice : Butik Timah - 1.96km

Most worry is the P1 Reg ..am hoping n praying hard to be @ PHPS coz am living less than 1km but i saw the chart even less than needs to ballot lor....

You are right! It doesn't make any difference. If it made a difference, you would see long queue one month before the P1 registration starts for popular schools.

Hi, i am new here and need some advice for my gal’s registration this year.

My gal falls under phase 2A2, so is it confirmed 100% will get into the school? Also i notice that they need a letter from the school to state that i was a previous student. What letter is that and how do I obtain it? Is report book sufficient?

Need a plan B in case Plan A fail wor...Then i will not be lost heee

So far, we have not witnessed any balloting in P2A. Hence, you can safely say that it is as good as 100%. Imagine, if you need balloting in P2A, that means there won't be any places left for P2B, P2C, etc. Don't think MOE will allow this to happen.

For P2A2, yes, report book should be sufficient.

If your child does not get into PHPS in P2C, you will not be able to apply with Henry Park in P2CS, because places Henry Park will likely be taken up in P2C, too. For P2CS, you will have to apply to schools that still have vacancies in P2CS. Popular schools are generally filled up in P2C. Hence, you will have to go to those not so popular school. Unfortunately, Henry Park is not one of those.

but my area nearest is only these schs...PHPS,Henry Park,Butik Timah,MGS ,Raffles etc...

But now is registering for SON so only 3 schs to choose fm...wat u tink abt Bukit timah sch?
