BT kit is a sort of calendar book and note book. also it specifies some school rules, mottos, and etc. email is not the best way to contact the FT (at least from my past experience with my DS). if you have some questions or concerns you can write in the BT kit and ask your boy to show it to his teacher and the FT will write back. I did purchase the BT kit for my boy when he was in P1, but since then, I just used a regular calendar book.
Ribbon Bear:
hi there!
Anybody has any ideas what the BT kit is used for & whether can we purchase it through the Form Teacher? My son is in P1 this year and he could not tell me much. I couldnt reach the FT via email. Do you know if the P1 teachers arrange seating in class based on heights? I was told by my son that he will continue to sit right at the back as he has chosen that seat during this 1st week of school. He is of average height.

Any mummies know if the timetable is out?
DS gave it to me on Monday.(yesterday).

Perhaps different class teachers do it differently. Ds just got his today (Tuesday). Are the p1 kids supposed to use single line exercise books or the broad line exercise books? We were given the single line books but the bookshop vendor told me all p1 should be using broad line exercise books??

Hi,
I saw this "FITT" & "MA" from my ds time table, but he couldn’t tell me what subject/activity is that.
Can anyone advise?? Thanks -
FITT is stated in my son’s timetable as "Mass Exercise"… should be some form of group exercise". There is no "MA" leh…

Yes, FITT is some form of mass exercise.Last year, they did Jump Jam and DS enjoyed it very much. MA should be for Maths.
Tks keborah. I don't have figures for last year, but I believe there are 9-12 each year that my sons were there, which is a very decent number for a neighbourhood school.Wow, impressive. Must be very proud having such 3 smart kids! How many students went to GEP last year as I did not get any numbers from the school. I knew in 2009 there were 9 kids.
So your boys are one of those GEP kids that my friend was telling me about. Looks like all your 3 kids are very academically inclined. :celebrate:markfch:
It is a very decent school, nice neighbourhood. My 3 boys started there in P1 n 2 transferred out cos of GEP. 2 of their cousins too. N a few of my friends' kids too. N none of our kids was coached for GEP or had any tuition except for some Chinese tuition. You don't get the kind of resources like in the more popular schools but it's really not bad at all. My son who didn't get into GEP managed a DSA into a premier boy's school through academics n my kids didn't have any tuition except for Chinese at some point so I think your kids are in pretty good hands.
