I was informed by my daughter that her usual school bus (the one that she took for the past 2 years-coach type) has been replaced by a mini school bus. Adding to that, she told me that there is no helper on the bus to look after the kids on the new bus.

Personally, I am very uncomfortable with the idea and I find that it is endangering the kids safety. Not only that, the bus driver has to resort to asking the upper primary students to assist the lower primary ones to get ready to alight while the bus is still moving.

With the hike in bus fare, I do not see why the bus provider cannot engage a helper to look after the kids. Without a helper, they are putting the safety of the kids at risk. I have sent an email to the bus provider and still waiting for their response.

Anyone feeling the same as me?

Does NHPS have something similar like NYPS class blog for teacher to update class information?

How do parent in NHPS know what their kids are doing in school?

I have a P1 this year โ€ฆ and I am clueless what my kid is doing in school.

              Hi,
I dont think there is any class blogs. Comms with teacher depends on individual teachers. Some teachers care to communicate with parents, whilst some dont.
Just return from meet the parents session for P6s. Quite disappointed with feedback from teachers. I feel sad that my kids current teacher inducted that the kids have to himself/herself put in effort. ๎“๎“

When we plan to take the school bus, I actually tailed the bus which travels the route that we were to take. Surprised to witness that 1. auntie held kids' hand ad cross the road , under a overhead bridge, without using the overhead bridge, 2. Auntie took kids and cross a pedestrian crossing when the traffic was in the car's favor, RED man.
Not surprising, I took the job of bringing them home myself during my lunch time.
You may want to check out the drop off point of your kid too.

Heard their lunch only good for the first two weeks. subsequently, cut down to very little, either tiny bit or totally no ingendient. Some upper primary buy their own lunch in school conveniently. You visited them lunch time and take a look? How you find them so far?
