Yes you would need to indicate Cynthia's POSB account number at the back of your cheque in order for the bank to credit the $$ in... The account number at the back of your cheque must tally with the name of the payee in the bank's system in order for the crediting to be done successfully.

Btw the account number is in one of the earlier pages of this thread
