Your area meaning? I happened to serve in a GRC which I am not staying at. So when I have season parking for my own place, I also enjoy the free parking in the GRC I am serving.
Free parking in only applicable if you buy the season parking in your area?pirahna:
True.... 2B and free parking.
Those in SMC will not be benefit much from free parking I suppose since the area is very small
For SMC, you may be wrong. If the SMC happened to be in the same town council as another GRC, then the free parking for GRLs do apply in the GRC as well as the SMC. -
Juz like to find out, if i m servg in an nc tat means i do nt hv season parkg, m i still entitled for the free parkg within the grc?
-
i think it varies by NC/GRC/location. next NC meeting ask your PA representative.

That one I am not too sure. I understand that GRL who are staying in private property needs to pay $8 per month for the special parking for the GRC. You better confirm this with your NC Chairman or even the staff at the CC. -

Hi, the following is from PA to all GROs. We were told to look into the cases of members who are affected by the recent electoral boundary changes. So there is hope for those affected. Cheers!
============================================
Dear General Managers and Constituency Directors
1. The registration of children for admission to primary one classes in 2012 under the Ministry of Education (MOE) Primary One Registration Priority Scheme for Grassroots Leaders (GRLs)/District Councillors (DCs) will commence in May/June 2011. Only serving members of the CCC, CCMC, RC and NC, and DCs of the CDCs, who have at least one year of continuous service immediately prior to their application (i.e. those who were appointed on or before 30 June 2010) are eligible to apply.
2. CCC, CCMC, RC and NC members can register their children at schools situated within the GRC/SMC which they are serving and/or residing, while CDC DCs can register their children at schools situated within the GRC/SMC which they reside and at schools situated within the GRC/SMC of the Adviser who had recommended them for appointment into the CDC.
3. With the recent announcement of the new electoral boundaries, some Grassroots Advisers and GRLs who are eligible for the Scheme have raised concerns about the impact this would have on the MOE Primary One Registration Priority Scheme. MOE has also asked PA for a gauge on the number of GRLs/DCs who might be affected.
4. In order for PA and MOE to ascertain the number of GRLs/DCs who might be affected, we would appreciate it if you could quickly check with your eligible and interested GRLs (CCC, CCMC, RC and NC) and CDC DCs who have one year of continuous service, whether their residing and/or serving GRC/SMC are affected by the boundary change. -
Hi timtim,
Thanks for the update! So may I know what should we do? Should we wait for the Chairman to ask us during the monthly meeting?timtim:

You're welcome. As it said, it's urgent and reply from us is expected by 22 Mar. So just wait awhile for this message to take effect, think your Chairman will do something very soon.

Thanks again. Oh dear, think the Chairman is away for quite a period, not sure he is reachable. Do you think we can contact the Constituency Directors directly?

Anyone standing in? If not, you can contact the PA staff (usually ACM, CM or DCM) supporting your GRO. You know who right? You should know him/her since they are suppose to attend the monthly meeting. You may also contact your Vice-Chairman.
