MFS is under First campus wat. i thk in the paper got say my first school cos i also asked the same question to my DH, he pointed to me MFS. anyway, Connie LUm is MFS principal curriculum specialist
hmmm but it is only for NTUC First Campus not MFS lei... -
jessicawongcs:
let me ask my DD's chinese teacher/principle this evening. to be sure.
MFS and FC are both under NTUC but two different CC. anyway let's see if they implement to MFS

I have enrolled my DD in additional enrichment classes in MFS, Apple Pie, which is a Chinese class. It is more on Story telling, sing songs and dancing. My DD is enjoying herself and keep asking me when is the next lesson. BTW, she is in Nursery.
I guess if they implement this approach, our kids would enjoy themselves

May I know which english class u enrolled for ur DS? I am intending to withdraw her from the Science Alive, there is ESI (English) which is still pending for more students to enroll before they can open the class.
yes, DS loves both his english and chinese enrichment class and always heard him mention their names.mambobb:

it might also be the time the enrichment class teachers had with him is shorter as compared to his normal class teachers -

i checked with my DD's chinese teacher yesterday, she told me, the new curriculum of teaching chinese via story telling will start from caterpillar( one of the cc under First Campus) from September 11. they only have one caterpillar cc, she said. after 1 year of teaching and seeing the result, if positive they will launch to other First campus cc. MFS has too many branches to start this, she said.
so, guess for my DD, maybe after she finish her K2 the curriculum wont reach them yet. it may only benefit my DS, hopefully.:) -

I cant rem what the enrichment centre call, but i know it's speech and drama for both english and chinese. They even organise performance for the class to perform in Singapore Arts Festival this may. But not many parents approve their children to go, guess the parents in this centre not very active enough...[/quote]i think only for english speech and drama. apple pie wont have performance at art festival in May, my DD cc told us abt the art festival for english drama and speech. my DD classmates mostly will go for it. they very \"On\"

ohh ic. the message we get from cc teacher last month was that the performace at the art festival by the children is prepared by the english drama dna speech teacher. but they did not specify wat are they performing yet. maybe i go and ask today. their class was yesterday, missed the teacher liao. today is apple pie.
Yes, the chinese speech and drama will be performing end of the year, very cute performance
but for the english, i think it is also end of the month as the teacher told me that 3rd week of may is actually optional as it is an explosure for children to perform at Singapore Arts Festival. Maybe our centre is different from yours... -

can advise how much you pay for this additional enrichment class?
how long is the session and is it incorporated into their normal 7am-7pm session? -
Howβs the teachers at Tampines Blk 487C?
My HB went to check and brou back their weekly schedule and Iβm kinda shocked tat theyβre teaching different parts of our body to the K1 now. I rem my gal learned tat when sheβs in N during her stay in CH. Their syllb really very slow. Is it enough for the kids to prepare for primary school?
