Forgot to specify that my question is for Tao Nan of course. Congrats to all who got in and good luck to those who will go for balloting.

2004 lowest birth rate I think. SARS period.
Oh yes 80 times be Traffic Wardens. Ha.ha maybe check see what is the distance she staying from TNS. Anyway she is trying for those born in 2004.tankee:
For the past few years, TNS phase 2B needed to ballot for 1-2km and the number of applicant <1km is getting higher each year, in tandem with the number of new conds springing up within 1 km to the school.
My take is, we may see TNS balloting for < 1km in the next few years, maybe next.
By the way, PV for Tao Nan is 80 times, not 40. Each time is 30min, thus a total of 40hrs.
But 2B within 1km this year was about 35-36% increase. Everyone is on to the trick now. Hopefully next year Phase 1 is even lower due to low birth rate. -
Congrats to all kids that got in.
I shared the kancheong that is in you…used to be in that situation few years back…Now its stress over coping with the peformance of the kids… -
Twins:
I heard that Ngee Ann is quite good.. More all rounded education and the new principal is good!
Wah, Ngee Ann Primary really \"no business\". Hmm, that's my Plan B if we don't get Tao Nan. Any parents with Ngee Ann children who can comment on the school...both good and bad? I checked and their PSLE results aren't too bad. Maybe the demand will come in 2C?tankee:
According to MOE website as at 8pm today, at the end of Phase 2B registration
Ngee Ann ............ vac 68 ... reg 9
Tanjong Katong ... vac 84 ... reg 14
Tao Nan .............. vac 82 ... reg 107 (figures different from Tao Nan website) -

Oh... they even posted the results on the white board?? that's great! and they entertained your call? i thought some said they do not entertain telephone calls asking for results...
Like I declared earlier...i will make my way to TNS by 5pm
I called first around 4:45 and was told \"72\". So i took it as to mean 72 within 1km. Then I went inside to see for myself lor. Even took picture of the white board results. lol
Anyway... thanks for updates!
we may see each other during orientation then!

Congrats to all. I am this year's PV at Tao Nan (register for 2011), but staying more than 2km, think i can drop off the PV liao... no chance at all

Mandie, could you please share how you were selected to be PV? I heard they ballot since there is only 1 PV task...is it true? :? -
Hi all,
I am not a parent registering this year but nevertheless felt the excitement for all of you.
Congratulations!
:celebrate: -
VooVoo:
VooVoo I went to the PV selection but did not get drawn. It is actually very fair, everyone registers and they put all the ballot numbers into a big bowl. Someone draws the first number and then the person drawn, draws the next number etc. until all 35 places are drawn, plus 4 or 5 reserves. Only PV you can do is traffic warden and you do it for 30min twice a week for 40 weeks. This is probably the most fair process of any school but means you cannot really contribute in other areas.Mandie:
