Jamez:
VooVoo I went to the PV selection but did not get drawn. It is actually very fair, everyone registers and they put all the ballot numbers into a big bowl. Someone draws the first number and then the person drawn, draws the next number etc. until all 35 places are drawn, plus 4 or 5 reserves. Only PV you can do is traffic warden and you do it for 30min twice a week for 40 weeks. This is probably the most fair process of any school but means you cannot really contribute in other areas.
Thanks, agree that this is fair since there is only 1 task.VooVoo:
Congrats to all. I am this year's PV at Tao Nan (register for 2011), but staying more than 2km, think i can drop off the PV liao... no chance at all

Mandie, could you please share how you were selected to be PV? I heard they ballot since there is only 1 PV task...is it true? :?

I have some friends who are teaching there and they confirmed that TNS will be shifting to Tampines in 2012.
I saw this from mummyloves message in other threads.
-
Any idea for how long?
-
I would think at least 2 years.
-
since official word is \"no plans yet\", perhaps the shifting to Tampines is still not firmed.
Maybe MOE offered a premise in Tampines to TNS for consideration as temporary use, TNS is either still considering or sourcing for alternate premise or yet to formerly revert to MOE of acceptance.

1 from 2A2 dropped out so they allocated to 2B
Just checked the Tao Nan website, and they have given an equal distribution of vacancies to 2B and 2C, so each phase now has 82 seats each. Yeah....1 more for 2C!!Twins:
nothing on Tao Nan website yet. But they did update the number registered under phase 2B to 108
I just realised on Tao Nan website, there are 83 seats for Phase 2B and 81 seats for Phase 2C. Shouldn't it be an equal distribution, ie 82 for each Phase?
They also posted balloting date for 2B as follows:
Date of Balloting for Phase 2B: Friday, 24 July 2009
Venue: Lecture Theatre
Time: 2 pm
Distance category school will be balloting: Between 1 and 2 km.
Attendance is not complusory.
All applicants will be notified by post of the results next week. -
aiya .. u beated me to it. I also just saw the posting at Tao Nan website and wanted to share the news
