      Hi Callie,

There is once my girl also can't finish her math work in class. She told me she dun't really understand the topic that why hold her up.

Yesterday is a math task test, so marks will be counted. I am quite worry. šŸ˜ž

I think my girl's teacher is training them on the speed too. Not only must accurate and must be able to do fast too.

I think for most P1 kids, they are all learning to complete their work(English, Maths or Chinese or Art) within the stipulated time given. Give them some time to adapt to this... Tests and exams are new thing to them. I still remember myself telling my girl before her 1st test in March this year, that she was not to speak to any friends or borrow anything during the tests... if not the teacher will \"catch\" her...hahaha...

Well, if your girl is having problems with the understanding of concepts then you might need some external help. However, I do know of some kids who are genuinely slow because they are slow lor, they write slowly and carefully.... Identify the real issues/problems and move on from there.

            Hi,

I think that nowadays Kids needed to expose to the early Math foundation else when they enter Primary school. They will have hard time to learn and become probia with the subject.

FOr my kids, i actually also exposed them to the enrichment class where my point of view, I find it is necessary. But of course, this may vary among the kids.

              1. Bernice and Susan had and equal number of hairclips. When Bernice gave Susan 56 hairclips, Susan had 5 times as many hairclips as Bernice. How many hairclips did Susan have after that?

              2. When Franz gave 342 stamps to Gabriel, Gabriel had 7 times as many stamps as what Franz had left. If they had an equal number of stamps at first, how many stamps did Gabriel have in the end?

Kindly teach me how to draw model for these 2 qns.

Thanks for the kind help šŸ˜‰
