Yes, you are right. That's why I was trying to call the sch last week to find out base on last year, how many of the PH2C applied are within 1km.. At least, I have a rough idea as to whether or not I have a chance this year. Too bad no one pick up my phone.Hi Moazai
RM only left 63 vacancy. If you are within 2km... chances are you still hav to face balloting. if there are more than 63 who is within 1km applying, those who are within 2km won't even have a chance....

Actually, I have another question… May sound quite silly… but I’m wondering if let’s say I go register at RMPS on 31st afternoon and there are >63 pple (e.g. 100 pple) who have registered before me. Out of this, <63 are within 1km, would the school reject my application and ask me to try somewhere else? Basically, would they handle the registration like a first come first serve basis?
Cos I was looking at the other sch’s statistics and sch like NYPS has exactly the same number of applicants as the vacancies for PH2B. So I’m wondering can the sch reject applicants if the numbers get too high. -
The school would advise you accordingly depends on the proximity of the distance. If you are within 1Km most likely you can get in or if 63 of then in 1Km then have to ballot.
Check the past balloting history to see how your chance in entering RMPS.

if the applicant is staying more than 1km from the school, the school may inform the applicants out of goodwill if they already know that the no. of applicants <1km already exceed the no. of vacancies.
this is so that the applicant staying more than 1km need not waste his time/chance at Phase 2C and can immediately go for their alternative choice instead of wasting the Phase 2C to be left with Phase 2C Supp.
registration up to Phase 2C supp is NOT first-come-first serve. -
Thanks Jedamum! U clear my doubts.

Hahah… Chief, know you are not Oracle, but was still hoping you bet on 1-2km balloting for RMPS.

I think the question should be: what on earth is Blangah Rise Primary NOT doing right to be attracting such low numbers of 6 year olds? -
ChiefKiasu:
Blangah Rise as at now only at 18% take up rate after Phase 2B. Maybe it should be able to endure until Phase 3 should still have lots of vacancies.Maozai:

Every year it seem that it not able to hit 50% take up rate. Maybe it really need to have very good PSLE performance to boost up the profile of BRPS. -
All they need is one smart kid from that school!
