My hubby was from St Stephen and moved on to St Pats (quite normal). He don't appear to be the notorious type and this also applies to his friends (who range from bankers to lawyers - all pretty decent type). The only one with \"notorious\" image is probably class 95 DJ Glenn Ong who also went through the St Stephen and St Pats route. Somehow, I always feel that those who went through saints school route are unique in their own ways (eg. behaviour, thinking,etc...).

He likes the saints school environment and he think it's \"cool\" compared to SAP school environment which our kids are in... (\"so cheena\"). I was just telling my girl over the weekends that if she does well and is good in her chinese, she can consier dunman high,etc... next time. My hubby was like..... don't think they need to be too powerful in their chinese or be super chinese type.... Though his chinese is at \"A/ AO\" level std but it's ltd edition so the kids don't trust him for chinese coaching and he is struggling with even P1 chinese at time  Maybe it's just him....

But like all stereotypes, there's always such impression that saints school boys are notorious while the convent school girls are \"wild\"??? On the other hand, my gp's sons are from St Stephens and he told me that teachers are more bochap type, probably less stress academically? So as parents, you need to know your kids and see if it's best suited for them. If kids do well, all of them have a chance to go to uni despite the kind of primary schools they attended.

I think the school tend to \"take it easy\" with confirmed phases. Eg. When I register for 2A1, I asked them when I would get the confirmation and they told me it's confirmed on the spot. The letter came very much later on (eg. when the registration process is over). It came with the orientation letter as well.

Then last yr, when i was registering under phase 1, we submitted the letter for quite sometime. The confirmation didn't come until just before P1 registration. I was concerned eg. what if the older child forgot to hand in the form or the teacher misplaced it,etc.... at least we still have a chance to \"register\". I remember calling the school for it.

If you are concern, call the school and ask when you can expect the letter.

I call up the school a few days ago. They say all 2A2 accepted.

But I am just paranoid if I don’t get the letter.

I think we need to let the kids grow up and learn to handle different situation for their own survival esp in the future. Learning to role play about bullying situation,etc... help the kids to deal with it when they encounter it.

Unfortunately, my son \"turns out\" to be a \"bully\" on the bus as he is quite rough and big build for P1 (infact he is bigger than all the P2 on the bus). Within 1 term of taking the school bus, I rec'd complaints from another parent whom I happen to get to know. After the 2nd complaint, we decided to make it mandatory for him to sit infront of the van with the bus driver. The complaints stopped.

In school, his peers can get rough too. Eg. he got a cut on his leg and he said his classmate pushed him,etc... So I asked if it was bullying, etc... and if so, I am gg to call his teacher. He kept insisting that they are just playing.... So I think such stuff happens in all schools so the kids just have to learn to deal with it. Also, if you are concerned, work closely with the teachers to keep a lookout.
