Oh dear....Upp Thomson, I don't think there are any schools <1km from yr place, right? Do you know which are the schools that are 1-2km away? Perhaps you could shortlist decide from there.

        MMM:
This is alittle off topic but concerning Aitong.... If someone is hoping to move to less than 1 km of Aitong and is looking at landed with a budget of not more than $1.3MM (depending on condition), which is the proposed housing area in that area ??? Preferably not too near the bright hill temple too.

Anyone familiar with that area, pls comment. Thanks.
You can try Thomson View or Faber Garden. There are townhouses inside, somemore they are enbloc potential property. However, you will rarely find sellers for these projects.

There used to be a map showing the 1km and 2km 'circles' on the school's notice board inside the general office. Not sure if it's still there. Best to call and ask.

Following (excluding Fulton Estate) should be within 1km:
          - estate near Thomson P.O. (narrow roads, though)
          - Soo Chow Estate and Thomson Ridge Estate (parts nearer Upp Thomson Rd)
          - Gardenia Rd and those near it
          - Mayview Townhouses (AMK Ave 3) and maybe Mayflower Ave & Terrace
          - Jln Lanjut, Jln Menarong

Thanks for your responses on the within 1Km houses.

Anyone has any comments on Fulton Road houses (those with back facing the bright hill temple)? I heard it’s a place for ash urns. Based on your knowledge of the location, is it ok to buy or not advisable to do so?

Oh it depends on individual, some parents simply could not accept as \"Urn Areas\" as would come into contact of \"Death Parade Marching Off\". Do note there are 3 timing for burning daily like 9am, 12pm & 3 pm. If \"good business\", there would be 4 tasks carried out at the same timing.

Some child have great immuse power if come across it. Some immuse power is low so may do affect the child. A freind of mine always have tailsman standby, anything happen can at least \"ward\" off. I guess all religion should have some form of 'emergency kit\" to handle such things.

I saw those houses thier backyard build very high wall as to block off the view form the Bright Hill Buring Area.

                Hi Titank,

Do you stay round that area to be so familiar with the timing...

The fulton side has back facing the ash urn building (few storey high and I heard that is the main entrance?) Not sure if there is less burning or despite that the air will still be more \"polluted\". I've only been there once and my impression is that, it is very big. My hubby and his parents usually do their round during qing ming as my grand fil is there.

I checked with my fengshui master and he said back facing is ok so long as not front. But he said the traffic there during march and july lunar month is bad. Chinese are also more superstitious so resale will be a problem.

Do you know how is the resale value like? I think this property has been on the mkt for a while. I am actually enquiring for a friend who is keen to find a house within 1km to Aitong.

Ha..ha this is though research as part of P1 registration. Imagine timing like 9am, 12pm & 3pm there are “Buring Event”, don’t think can really avoid if for the case if study in ATS. I heard NCPS also somehow near to such area. Perhaps your “Fengshui Advisor” can advise you & no harm to check “8 Character” of each individual family members.

Resale value do have some impact for those who mind such things especially Chinese. Hope you can get your ideal property near ATS.

                      Hi mumto3boys

May I know where are you staying. I am looking around for a place that is within 1km to Aitong and CH but so far the places that I have seen are only within 1km to one of the school only.

                      Thanks

Hi mamemo. Yes its’ not easy unlike the standard practise of just simply filling up the form and submit to the school. Be prepared to offer relevant & valuable services. Forget abt traffic warrant, helping out in library, story telling or doing photocopying admin type of work. The school r not looking for 1 time service type of PV, so think along the line where you can offer your true professional & expertises to assist the school instead.
