park the car outside or when going to park inside, call home tell maid to lock kids inside.
if not dnt drive MPV, drive chery

i second that. park the car outside, if possible first. when the nights are quieter & no kids running ard, then reverse back into compound.

Like most of the childcare centre which is using a landed property, I saw them having a inner low fence to prevent the kids from getting into the car acessable path .... But if course might not be so nice for own property la ... But it would be a great idea if doesn't have a helper to take care of young kids...

Yes my DD cc has trible protection. Outside gate close all the time (except rain), Lower inner fence (also lock) and main door (door is open but gate is close)

I am also the kiasi sort, esp. at carparks. I'll usually hold the kids by their hand even when both my hands are full with grocery bags.

I once saw a 2 year-old standing unguarded at a carpark while his parents gathered grocery bags from the boot that was facing the road. The boy could have dashed out anytime! :nailbite:

me too. even while alighting from the vehicle or taking items out of the car boot, i make sure my kids are by my side.
