ZhangDe have 131 places in Phase 2C. In theory as long there are 131 in 1Km applicants, you should be generally safe. Somebody had post the earlier thread that currently there are 83 in the 1Km range, meaning still have about 48 available places.
Are you still aiming to try Radin Mas? Too bad RMPS still not able to get the breakdown of the distance proximity. -

I will like to share my experience about ZDPS.Agreed with you that ZDPS is one of the better sought after school in Bukt Merah where most people comparing RMPS,RVPS & CHIJ around our area. Initially I also wanted do PV have a better chance with ZDPS but the VP said usually don't have to do PV also can get in.
The registration in 2008 was the turning point where ZDPS in the 1st time have balloting at 1-2km range. Oh what a waste, should have do PV in ZDPS :stupid:
Believed ZDPS would be able to catch up closely to RMPS in a given period of time.
When my kid was in P2, his form teacher was very approachable and would always attend to my queries, either personally when I saw him in school or via e-mail. In fact, my kid still remembers him fondly.
However, there is one aspect about the school that is of concern, and this is shared by other parents. The school tends to change teachers quite frequently, even in the midst of a school term. This has caused disruption in covering the various syllabus.
When my kid was in P1, there was a change of 4 teachers within the first 1/2 year. I understand from other parents that their children were also subjected to the many changes in teachers and no reasons were given when they queried the school.
My kid had also a sudden change in teacher this year, from one Head of Department to a freshly graduated trainee teacher. I understand that this new teacher had not been given a proper \"handover\" and she was also very surprised about her sudden appointment. No reasons were also given as to why the original teacher left.
And from the way things are going, I have valid concerns whether the new teacher is experienced enough to handle a class of bright kids. I have came across some maths homework that the students are required to do, but were not taught how to do in the first place. There was also a math question that I think has a printing error. As I was not able to do it, I asked my kid whether the teacher had come back to them on this particular question. It has been almost 3 weeks since and they still had not been told how to tackle the maths problem or whether to confirm whether there is indeed a printing error. -
Hi Titank,
I shd think I’m still safe for ZD for within 1km, what I’m afraid that there will be a sudden increase of applicants tomorrow afternoon. But on the other hand, I shd think that most people would have registered by Day 1.
I don’t think I’ll try for RM. Look at the no. of applicants vs the no. vacanies. I thought I read somewhere that there were more than 60 applicants staying within 1km registered in Day 1. I think I’ll give up RM. But I’m definitely keen in ZD. -
Hi kwcllf
You may have to email to the teacher to express your concern. What I saw is that last year P1 teachers in ZDPS are still teaching the P2 classes this year.
When Moe recruits teachers, that is always the problem. My child’s new school(the best class) is also taught by a fresh NIE grad this term. -
hi
anyone got any updated for today ? -
Just came back from ZDPS. checked with the Admin and was told left 7 or 8 places only.
