        Dear all,

My son is in 2 Care this year at NAPS. Any good recommendation after school care near Marine Parade or Katong?

          Hi epohfoo

Perhaps you could check with the school cause I have seen students stayed back after school and have packed lunch w fruits at the canteen. I understand there’s something like after school care. Or you could check it out yourself at the canteen. There’s someone in-charge of given out the packed lunch to the students.

            hi pingathot,

Thanks for the reply. My son was under that student care previously which i found not very good.

That's why i am thinking to change with any good recommendation 😞

              Hi epohfoo

Why? I thought its better to be in the school. It saves time from travelling. Moreover, he can approach his teacher when he needs help from his study. To what I know, from my own opinion, being in the school is better than go to outside student care. In school, we feel our child is safe. I am sure there is some rules that the children has to obey in school rather than outside student care.

                Hi AADaddy

You are asking whether to send your boy to Tao Nan or Ngee Ann. Well, I think Tao Nan is too stressful, too competitive. Check it out yourself. But if you want only Chinese, then Ngee Ann is not your cup of tea. I think a mix is good for the children when they grow up. They tend to appreciate each others, they learn to accommodate.

                  hi pingathot,

Yes, this is my first thought also.
But talking abt safety, i dont agree. It happen many times, in fact it’s all the time that, they wont called the parents to verify if your child is not coming on the day.
I know this is parents responsiblity to inform the student care if our child is not attending. I called the first few times, then i tried not to call/inform few times, but so far i yet to received any respond from them saying or asking why my child is not coming that day.
And there is a case happen that, they know which student who did the stealling money, yet because of the boy is coming from broken family, they just ignore!
In fact, the form teacher also advise me if to tranfer my son out.
                  Sign… headache… headache…

                    Hi epohfoo

Perhaps you could talk to V Principal to reflect your views. See what he says. I think you need to talk to him to let him knows about these issues. Because if no one complains, the V Principal does not know. No need to tell the teacher. Go straight to V Principal to complain, then they will do something. I heard he is quite good. New V Principal.

                      Hello parents

There is a National School Golf Competition Championship on July 25th. Anyone’s child is taking part? My son is taking part and I have intended to send him for a practice round at the Keppel Golf Club. Anyone interested to take the practice round as a group so the fees is cheaper. Thank you.
