You are not alone. last year, a parent also drop BPPS for Greenridge cos of likely balloting in Greenridge in Phase 2C Supp.

I think this is a practical way to deal with this issue. If you are not sure of your first choice then go ahead and look at the second choice, before that too gets out of reach.

Hi all,
Just to share my thoughts and decision for the primary school registration.
I have in mind BPPS & Beacon as first choice. Is within 1km of BPSS but 1-2km of Beacon. Initially thought of \"trying out\" at BPSS with the fallback of Greenridge & Zhenghua. Looking at the outcome (BPSS & Beacon), there are 73 applicants not going to be successful for 2C. GRPS & ZHPS total have 78 places left. As a personal preference, I left Westview P.S out. So if we are not successful in 2C, our second range schools might not be assured and we are working on a uncomplete data (still have 1 more day). So have decided to drop first range choice and enroll in Greenridge P.S.
Good luck to all! Hard to get our minds away but must always remind ourself that it is your child that will get the most \"shock\" in a new environement and embarking on the next stage of life. Cheers.

In the morning of 2C first day registeration, I went to the school to help. I guess you went on the second day, right? Are you Maggie?

BTW, I stay in Block 235.

I guess we must have met before then. I also did the Chinatown fieldtrip and helped with the mooncake festival last year. My dh did the LTS though.

Lets keep an eye for each other during Orientation. Are you doing anything for them now?

Yes, I am a parent volunteer there. I mostly help on their swimming program last year, moon cake festivel and a field trip to Chinatown.
Do you stay in Bukit Panjang area?

No I couldn't help this year for 2C as I was just back from a work trip. I am also not Maggie. I do a reading programme there though twice a week. So school is quite close for you then. We stay in Lompang Road, in Blk 175

For CHIJ, my friend just went there, <1 can get in but for 1-2 km, need to ballot as 1 more application than seats! Real bad there!!

Hi to all! Wanna share my saddest experience in selecting sch for my boy. I went to Beacon y'day morning and called them to finalise the results. To my disappointment, I went to withdraw my application and re-applied at Greenridge.


I'm located between 1km - 2km so chances of balloting confirmed involved. Basically left only 15 places for 2C (bet 1km-2km). won't want to take the risk and rush like a hot head when balloting failed.
