Wow in this case everyone would be getting seats! Maybe the school didn't want to do balloting for 1 seat, so decided to get everyone in!

Congrats to all then at CHIJ. I know a friend of mine will be mighty pleased. Are you in 1-2 km? Which block?
      seems like it ya.....congrats!!!

ya, i really hope so. I registered for beacon and looking at the stats, withdrawed this afternoon and cheong to chij. in fact i was the last one to reach there and my queue was a lucky 88. I am within the 1-2 km , staying at 182. last year they didnt had to ballot for within 2 km. I think i will call them again tomorrow to confirm. but i am very sure that the no. at 4.30 was still 63 and not 64 though the teachers told me that they will also ballot even for 1 extra applicant. but imagine the disappointment and anguish the one reject will feel in the sea of rejoice on that day.

so maybe the school doesnt want to see that !! šŸ™

i wasn't too keen on Zhenghua given some of the comments that i've heard and though it was much nearer....would rather place my bet on a newer school....

All the best suecat! Hope the school decides that for 1 person no need to do ballot. Or that someone decides to withdraw and so everyone in < 1 km and 1-2 km get in.

                  Did anyone see this? http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/balloting/

I see that all the applications in Greenridge is for within 1 km.

Out of 6 schools in Bt Panjang, 4 will be balloting on 11th.

All the best to everyone who is balloting.... :rahrah: wish all of you get through!

Surprised with the uptake of the schools this year (being one of the lower birth-rate years) but then again, the schools are cutting down on their places to transit into single session. Imagine the first born is a Dragon baby. Just wondering can the schools ballot for children that are not successful? :?

Erm, do u mean doing 'reverse' balloting? That is those who are drawn first get rejected? Anyway the answer is no. They will painstakingly draw every single one to get accepted until the last place is filled up.

Yeah imagine if any of the left over cases (in your scenario) was triplets or twins. The school will have a higher intake than before.
