[Seng Kang] Primary Schools
-
Hello, everyone.
This is my first post.. please pardon me for direct questions here.
Hope that more experienced parents can advice..
My situation..
My boy is slightly unique.. he is slightly ADHD, but we were told he can attend conventional school.
He used to have behavior problems, like getting agitated when disturbed by his sister, or things don't go thru the usual routine.
We spent a lot of effort correcting and training him.
He is much better now, but sometimes still breaks loose.. lose concentration, doesn't listen until we repeated our instructions multiple times. He likes talk to people (too friendly that we had to keep reminding him not to talk to strangers!) :slapshead:
He also likes to run around.. we are very worried he'll just run off never come back
Academically, he is good, and is very good with music. He's actually going for Grade 1 piano next month.
Now, the school..
I stay within 1-2km of Anchorgreen and Nan Chiau.
My wife heard from neighbor that Compassvale is good also.
But would the schools (or any in Sengkang) have student support for kids like mine?
Any advice is welcome..Thank you.. -

Go for one that you have the highest chance?
Have a backup plan, nevertheless. -
I m staying near to North Spring Primary school and hope to hear some comments about this school.

Same here! :? :? Very much wanted to try Nan chiau but chances are very slim........ my next choice will be Compassvale as it's walking distant for my boy. -
i was told nan chiau don't entertain requests for a 'tour'. :scratchhead:
i am concerned about the school's general teaching environment.. how's the tolerance for children who don't conform, or even deem as naughty?
anyone in the school can advise? -

when u have such a good enrollement and every parents of sengkang drooling to put their ds/dd into this school. i do not think the principal give a damn about orientation, open house, tour or whatsoever.
but i wonder how true. i heard that the school only prioritise their attention on the top 3 classess of each grade. it appear that they are investing their main resource on the best student rather than the weak one...probably they have to maintain their reputation of churning out good students. As compare to a new school which place emphasis on the general well being of all to make sure they achieve a high percentage of passing psle. -
Any parents going for Compassvale Pri?
