Surprised with the uptake of the schools this year (being one of the lower birth-rate years) but then again, the schools are cutting down on their places to transit into single session. Imagine the first born is a Dragon baby. Just wondering can the schools ballot for children that are not successful? :?

Erm, do u mean doing 'reverse' balloting? That is those who are drawn first get rejected? Anyway the answer is no. They will painstakingly draw every single one to get accepted until the last place is filled up.

Yeah imagine if any of the left over cases (in your scenario) was triplets or twins. The school will have a higher intake than before.

But actually some schools do increase their intake to accomodate twins/triplets in distance cut-off cases.

Thanks. I thought would be much faster doing a reverse balloting for those take up rate that is just over e.g. (50 avail, 54 applied). Thanks. Good luck to all involve in balloting coming Tuesday.

I think it should be. Just to be on the safe side, just call the school and confirm with them.

Hi everyone, my daughter is born in 2004 and due to register for P1 next year. I’m staying at Blk 603 Senja Rd and my parent-in-law is staying Blk 137 Petir Rd.

My 1st choice is BPPS, 2nd choice not sure yet.

Can anyone tell me is B603 fall within 2km of BPPS? What are the 2nd choices if using my PIL address?

                    Thank alots!

                        Seiko,
if you are working fulltime and you using the grandparents' address at Petir, even if it is <1km to BPPS, you will be categorised as within 1-2km applicants.
For Phase 2C, BPPS needs balloting for those staying <1km, so if you are in this phase, you have to be within 1km from BPPS to stand a chance to ballot.
