Bakugan:
Hi Bakugan! In any case, we were the unfortunate 30 who failed at RMPS.
I feel for the parent whom qms mentioned abt \"living so near that he can throw his kid to school\" cz I too live v near.
But it's too late for stuff like that anymore...
I think the advice given here is the logical thing to do.
GESP first then BRPS (no offence to BRPS entrants).
So sorry to hear that you were not successful. In fact, my husband and I were :x when the principal said that \"96 for 65 places - very good chance, right? Two thirds will get in! Last year it was only 25%.\" She forgot that last year, balloting was only for those in the 1-2 km category!
I suppose you will be in the 1-2 km for GESPS, right? Yes, you should go for GESPS first. That was our contingency plan, too, because like what Chief KS said, there will definitely be places in Blangah Rise even AFTER Phase 3. I suppose GESPS is more convenient to you, too. So, don't despair. :rahrah: You have the KSP.com parents behind you.Bakugan:
Please do not think of it this way. Your son will be upset to you so upset, right? :hugs: Good Luck to you in GESPS! :xedfingers:But somehow it just burdens me that DS will be \"suffering\" the consequences of my decision and action for the next 6yrs

Hi Bakugan,
Sorry to hear that you are not successful in the RMPS balloting.GESPS still have about 40 places In phase 2C supplementary. It has a student care centre run by YWCA & really benefit for Working Parents. It is understandable that BRPS is not often discuss in here, it would take a miracle to happen just like Radin Mas. Before 2000 RMPS is also not popular at all. -
Bakugan:
QMS, Bakugan, I'm one of the unfortunate 30s who failed at RMPS too. No point for me to look back and regretting not doing PV for RM last year, or even reg at RV in P2A2 or CHIJ at P2C. Will be going to reg at GES this Fri, as GES is opposite my in-law's block. Hopefully this time round, can get into GES.

As for the rest of us who failed at Phase 2C, let's brace up for the next heart challenge on 19 Aug! :!:
Thanks everyone.
Good luck to the rest of us going for P2C supp.
QMS, Congratulations to u !!! Too bad our children can't be in the same school. Guess your ds will be the tallest in school. I remember he asked if my Q no was 99 or 66 then.. -

All the best to you! Please let us know how it goes this Friday. Same to bakugan, too! Keep us all posted! -
Hi QMS,
Ha.ha maybe we can exchange contact HP & SMS when say we are in Oridentation or 1st day of the school. Most of my DS's kids in thier Kindergarten head to River Valley Primary. Had already convinced my DS that RMPS is a good school for him.
The block that I'm staying most in RVPS, do not have any from RMPS. Anyway I need to thankk you providing so much info on RMPS thru my PM box.
Ok see you on the oridentation day.I hope they do not have suprise test like CHIJ (Kellock) on the oridentation day. -
Hi chipmucks n bakugan
Sorry to hear that you were not successfulโฆGood luck on your upcoming registration. All the best -
Hi All,
Manage to find out that last year there was balloting where about 20+ applicants fight for 4 places in GESPS. These are the ones staying at 1-2Km range.
Wish those good luck in the Phase 2C Supplementary. -
Hi qms / raynreg :
thanks so much for the cheering and encouragement. :salute:
(qms, congrats on the RMPS entry, i will remember to be strong for DS)
Hi titank :
yes, childcare arrangement is the other crucial deciding factor for us...
As i dnt have in-laws or parents available for our childcaring needs, the studentcare quality is v important. In fact, DH prefer BRPS cz of the better studentcare environment as opposed to GESP studentcare.
Actually, we briefly visited the BASC centres and the schools again to \"refresh\" ourselves of the factors again
(can even pm me to share BASC notes... hehe)
Hi chipmunks :
sorry to hear that u missed out on RMPS too.
Let's hang in there for another week :hugs:
Oh FMz, the nickname IS chosen by DS... He has 22 cz lost 3 so far :heresmyfish: The things that parents do for their kids, ya?! haha -
Hi Bakugan!
Bakugan:
Thank you very much! We are all behind you here! Stay positive!Hi qms / raynreg :

You mean Blangah Rise has a student care within the compound? :?In fact, DH prefer BRPS cz of the better studentcare environment as opposed to GESP studentcare.
Bakugan:
Please, can both of you, keep us posted on the outcome? I will also try to find out more information on Blangah Rise. My husband's cousins studied there before, BUT it was more than 20 years ago. Perhaps they have the network to find out more about the school.Let's hang in there for another week :hugs:
Hang in there... Wish both of you ALL THE BEST!!!

Hi Titank!
titank:
Yes, we can certainly do so.Ha.ha maybe we can exchange contact HP & SMS when say we are in Oridentation or 1st day of the school. Most of my DS's kids in thier Kindergarten head to River Valley Primary. Had already convinced my DS that RMPS is a good school for him.
My son's classmates are all going to schools in the west, because his childcare centre is located in the west. His friends are either going to Nan Hua, Henry Park, Fairfield Methodist or ACPS, etc. So, he will be alone in RMPS, too. On the other hand, my neighbours have children studying in RMPS. So, it may not be so bad for him.titank:
My pleasure, as long as it proved informative to you.Anyway I need to thankk you providing so much info on RMPS thru my PM box.
titank:
See you on orientation day! Does CHIJ Kellock have surprise test?Ok see you on the oridentation day.I hope they do not have suprise test like CHIJ (Kellock) on the oridentation day.
