there used to be 2 primary schools there - cantonment & keppel which are side by side. they merged in early 80s.

then closed down & was the site for Central Narcotics Bureau. the site has been left empty for quite a while.

maybe will call pinnacle primary or duxton primary

Info from one of my freind's freind said that CHIJ (Kellock) on oridentation day were being bring to the classroom. All were being ask to sit for English & Chinese test. :!:

Those who performed badly have to come back in Nov or dec maybe 2 weeks for extra remedical lessons. Not free of charge have to pay,

So when P1 school reopen, all would more or less the same standard.
Guess we need to be prepare as RMPS would be also a siong siong school for us. :?:

Well, one thing for sure, we as parents will definitely be more stressful. Just hope our kids can pick up fast and stay on track.

Wow there are about 30+ in the waiting list for next year P1 to enter RMPS. Wonder the waiting list would valid until when?P1 to P6? :?

It may not be 30+. Some parents have moved on (e.g. Bakugan, Chipmunks, sumoon, etc.). Of course, they may still want their children to be in RMPS eventually.

Any future applications will be accepted based on merits.

Parents need to produce the school results of the child taken at the school the child is currently in.

But already in the quene is 30, maybe have to wait until 2012 where a group maybe would transfer out on the GEP.

It’s confirmed! MOE is building a new primary school in Cantonment. Estimated completion date is 4Q 2010. Parents staying around the area and involved in the P1 registration next year will have another choice.


Given the location, I think the new school will be grouped under Central planning area, rather than Bt Merah.

Looking at the size of the land, I don’t think the school will be big. The plot ratio should be high, though.
