Just wondering for mommies staying at Sengkang, which tuition centre do you think has good quality teachers who are familiar with the current school syllabus & delivers results in terms of helping their kids for coping with school work ?

How would you rank these tuition/enrichment centres ?

Mavis, Mind Stretcher, Just Education, Kumon, Kent Ridge Tutors ?

I’ve heard good comments about Dexus at St. Anne in Sengkang but not sure about Dexus in Punggol.

However, I’ve viewed Dexus in Punggol. It’s located in an RC and very near to Greendale Primary School. The feeling I’ve about the place…it seems rather cold. In a sense, you hardly hear any kids voice…seems more like a tuition centre.

Plus, the kids don’t bathe there as there are no facility.

Any parents had tried student care in Sengkang area ? Any good recommendation which is good ?


a. are such centre’s caregiver qualified teachers or just one/two are teachers?
b. for BAS outside school, how does the centre handle the logistics of shuttering the student to-&-fro school ?
c. for BAS outside school, what if the student have after-school activities, how does the centre handle such shuttering again?
d. besides school work monitoring, what other activities are common in such BAS to occupy the student ?

Hi, can someone recommend a SC around Seng Kang Primary Sch? My only son will be in P1 next year and I'm torn between entrusting him to a SC and getting my MIL's help while both my husband and I are at work. I'm very concerned that he might not be disciplined enough to do and revise his home work for the day .. any suggestions will be very much appreciated!! Pls help!!

There is 1 opposite SK CC- Called the morning star something like tat.
Is a student care and they can provide transport to pick your boy from school there.

but I am not sure abt their studies and timetable over there.
You may want to check it out and do a research instead.

alternatively, get a nanny to help?

Oh I think I know where this morning star is!! Thanks! I shall go check them out.. I prefer SC to my MIL cos I want him to be more disciplined .. parents on both side spoilt him rotten .. :spank:
