          Hi cholecube

You bet! I almost fainted too! Fingernails are black too. Always back home with black face. I actually bought him an apron to put it on when calligraphy time but he is too shy to use it lah. But now I think he is better now. Maybe more experience I think! There’s one day I was at school and I saw so many of them hv stained. One even at the back of his school uniform and school bag! Oh mine. That was the marathon calligraphy day that break records and also break our parents pockets too!
But I think the kids enjoyed. Looking at their smiling faces when their mothers asked. Ha, Ha!

😂 😆 someone must have tab him with a stain palm on his back..
maybe the student u saw is my son ?!
DS's bag is black, else the stain would have been obvious.

mummies, does the P1 children have exams? What about 1st day at school?

Are we allowed to go into the school with the child?

                        Hi hi

As far as I know, MOE has asked all primary school to do away exams for P1 and P2 since last year. So, P1 should not have any \"exam\" per se. But i think there may be some bite size assessment for the kids so as to make sure that they do take in what they are taught. 🙂

As for 1st day of school, parents cannot go in cos the school is considered small (if you compared to other primary schools) so the schools are unable to let the parents stay with the kids inside school. But rest assured that there are enough parent volunteers around to help the kids out. The school would also assign a P5 gor gor/jie jie to be a buddy for all P1 kids so that someone can show them the rope during recess time when they learn to buy food from the canteen.

Don't worry too much. The kids are fast learners and they are more resilient than we know 🙂

Once they step into the P1 stage, you will find them growing up in lightening speed.

                        🙂
