Hi ctcc,ctcc:
Hi Champion,
At first we plan for Boon lay garden n corporation. We change our mind yesterday, goin to register at Juying on 12/8. We like the single session and the cca. My boy is that type cannot sleep late (before 9) n can wake up early. Is seem like you will have more time in the noon.
How abt u?
Corporation Primary is also single session and that is also one of the criteria we are considering. Yes, my girl is also the type that sleeps early and wakes up early so I think it should not be a problem for her. Juying is abit far for us as the school is right inside Street 91. Maybe in the near future, we can share more tips on the academic and thier growing. Really nice to know your thru this forum esp in the Jurong West areas. Hope more people can join in our forum

Hi KL,
Yes, I can fully understand your frustration and disappointment. But don't be discouraged - the odds are really against us as what ChiefKiasu mentioned. 355 against 118 - there are really too many children living within 1Km from West Grove Primary. Nevertheless, just like ctcc and myself, we are all having a \"2nd chance\" for Phase 2C supplmentary next Tuesday. So have you decided on which other alternatives?
Hi ctcc,
Yes, really hope that next tuesday registration is the final one. All the best to you & to me

Hi, KL
Where did u stay? I heard fm some parents that pioneer wl oso be another in n upcoming 1. with the new sch, they hv lot of new facilites n project w moe. the stress level for chn will as high as west grove. I reg w west grove cos my hub choice n he believe my boy shdn’t be a prob if we push a little more… now think abt it, it may not be a bad sign . . -

Maybe there are too many young parents staying at Jurong West area. For my case, there are only 2 schs which are within 1km, West Grove & Jurong West Pri. But look at the total number of applicants vs vacancies of the 2 schs, 573 vs 233. Meaning there are 340 children couldnt get a place in the school which is within walking distance and they are ‘forced’ to take school bus to a further school. Haiz…really pity parents like us staying in this area.

Hi Parents…
going for P1 2C supplementary registration. Understand that this phase also go by distance priority. However, have heard from someone I know that it could be on 1st-come-1st-serve basis. He registered in 2005 though. He mentioned that the school he went to register for phase 2C suppl., did not want to go through balloting, so once the vacancies are filled, the principal do not accept any more applications. He’s outside 2km but he got in as he went to register early.
I really can’t verify how much truth in there, but guess better to register early if possible.
