I heard somewhere that RV only takes up to 60 for DSA each year. Probably that was because in the past, there were only 100-200 applicants. Taking up to near 200 if they are well qualified will place RV on par with schools like RI which usually admit half of its cohort through DSA.

I don't have the figures but don't think is between 100 to 200. In year 2009 dd applied for DSA. The applications were split into at least 2 different days to take the academic tests. When I brought dd to the Malan campus, the applications filled the whole hall and at least 3 lecture theatres. That was only 1 of the 2 days I saw.

But I thought sall said that 400 applicants this year is double that of last year?

Any idea is there still chance to get CO if didn’t receive interview letter from RV?

That’s what I was told : This year’s 400 applicants is double that of last yr, 2010. Could it be 2010 has less applicants than 2009?

Seems like can only take 50% of applicants, according to MOE regulations.

i think MOE regulation should be up to 50% of the cohort for IP schools and not 50% of the applicants.
so RV can accept a maximum of 200 thru DSA as intake is 400.

Hi Daisyt, seems that the Y1s are more interested in the partial or full exemption thing. No one is thinking about EOY.

I always see my gal spending all her time on projects, not studying for exams. 1st it was Malay video, followed by CID, and now it's IT project. They spend so much time on these projects and yet their grades do not count towards their GPA. I really don't know what to say ....

For the Malay video, I'm not sure if they learn anything much. They basically wrote the entire skit in English and translate to Malay using Google translator. They don't even know what they are talking about ...
