Assessment books

Dear All
Does anyone have good recommendations for good publishers of P1 assessment books that will have challenging questions but be a balanced representation that mirrors the MOE syllabus?
Reason being is that there are so many assessment books out there in the market and I am at a lost which to get?
Would appreciate some recommended publishers/ book titles either by topical modules or for CA/SA general revision for the subjects English, Chinese, Maths.
Many thanks!

Hi
Just purchased a chinese assessment book for my son (Primary 5)
Title: The chinese language Exam Booster Simulated SA1 & SA2 Paper by top school teachers. Publisher (Victoria Publications Pte Ltd) bought from Popular. Just started revision with my son yesterday, personally i find this book is the closer to current Pri5 chinese syllabus and exam format so far. -
Anyone found any p4 assessment book that is pretty good for p4 chinese revision?thanks

I like Janet Sim for the Science Assesment books. Her answers are usually followed by explanations.
For Math, Fabian Ng’s Problem Solving Method books are good. I’ve only discovered this book recently. Very systematic method of using models for problem questions. -

The above 2 books are good but Fabian's book doesn't the detailed answers so at times is difficult to solve some problems. It's a very thick book tooI like Janet Sim for the Science Assesment books. Her answers are usually followed by explanations.

English - Like Casco
Maths - I like Andrew Er’s & Just Education Series. -
My P1 daughter is pretty good in English and Math so my comments are focused on higher ability books for these 2 subjects. I intend to look for easier books for my second daughter when she starts P1 next year - I think the topic by topic ones are a good start for revision.
For English - tried Casco Model papers - not bad. Challenging English (the book) so-so, nothing great. Anyone has any other recommendations for English for higher ability kids ? This is because my daughter’s school 's English standard is pretty high.
For Math - did NOT like Challenging 4-in-1 math, questions messy and long-winded with too many steps, not challenging, more tedious & tiring. I liked Casco’s Classroom Challenging math - nice font, easy to read format. Topic by Topic Andrew Er is ok.
Would appreciate some suggestions for chinese, for average ability kids. -
Yithz,
I’m not sure which publishers are good or not.
I guess it also depends on your child’s level.
My younger boy will be in P1 next year, and I’ve bought him these assessment books :
1. English - Enriching English by Dorcas Ang…Success Publications Pte Ltd
2. Maths - Step-by-Step MATHS by Simon Eio … EPH
3. Chinese - 课堂华文测验 (P1 Chinese Class Tests by Topics) by 黄海君…EPH
The Maths and Chinese are following MOE syllabus and they are going by topics. He can do mostly by himself.
I’ve bought more which he hasn’t started doing :
1. Maths - Challenging Maths by Sandhya Sundar… EPH
2. Chinese - 小学华文/小学高级华文 汉语拼音 (Hanyu Pinyin for Primary one) … Victoria Publications Pte Ltd
The 2 above are also following MOE syllabus and go by topics.
You can get them from Popular Book Stores.
