AJAJ:
Q13)

alan and ben ran around a 400m track for a competition. alan''s speed was 190m/min. ben's speed was 25m/min less than alan's.
how many complete rounds had alan travelled before he had travelled 300m more than ben?

is the answer 5, 5.7 or 6
i put 6 but the rest of my classmates put 5
5 as they clearly asked for complete rounds. (that is what i thought,my ans was 5)

Maths Isnt Fun:
for the ans:351 the question was abt chairs...someone arranged chairs in rows of 9. he bought 6 chairs and arranged the chairs in rows of 7 and had 12 more rows. how many chairs are in the hall at first? (i think?)

My answer is 357. I used algreba but it took many steps . Assume that number of chairs is x.Try to make two number sentences equal to each other and try to eliminate one equation by minusing it out from the equation that is greater in value.

I used the same method. I arrived at x=39. Then, i 39x9+6=357.

Hey!I'm a student and also taking PSLE this year! šŸ˜„ I think the paper was kinda so-so but some questions i had to rack my brains :gloomy:
My ans kinda varied but here they are: 20,17,72(bar graph),70,125,20%,22,42,351,5/9,180m2,154,26,13,8,5,56,119,199,17,4576,$150 All the best for your girl! Left two or three more papers to go so JYJY! :rahrah:
Hi, any idea what the ans:351 question is about?
A school hall arranges some chairs in 9.

In a concert, Mr Tan brought in 6 more chairs and arranges them in rows of 7. This time, he gets 12 more rows.
How many chairs were there in the concert?
My DD said the question was \"how many chairs ARE there in the concert\".Therefore, she interpreted it as how many chairs are there NOW, hence she added 6 chairs back to 351. her ans therefore was 357.
