Are the Bangkok surgeons reliable? I am a bit scared of trusting my eyes to them but the price is attractive.

For eyes, I rather pay more for a good surgeon locally for assurance. The risk of doing the surgery abroad is if happen to be unlucky and something goes wrong or need follow up, then it may work out to be more costly. Consider the savings from spectacles or contact lens your whole lifetime, the cost to do locally is really insignificant.

As with all medical procedures, there will always remain some risk, although Lasik is very established and success rate is very good. Friends and I also have other good experiences (like giving birth) with Bangkok’s top hospitals, but I guess unless you are comfortable with the place, you would not want to be stressed out by a foreign environment. Good luck, whichever place you do go to get your Lasik done.

Agree, I rather go for a known Singapore doctor. But the bangkok prices are attractive. Are there cases where people go for Lasik but in the end their eyesight is still not perfect and they need to wear glasses?

Yes heard of such cases before either under or over corrected.

That is mainly why I have not gone ahead to do mine. After spending thousands and then find out that my eyesight is still not good.. :slapshead: But have you tried it yourself?

Anyone did at shinagawa LASIK? They seems v popular and prices quite competitive too. And also what are the things we need to take note of on the day of the operation? Eg: no reading, no watching tv anything else?

                        Hi guys!

Anyone heard of Eastern Eye Centre, Dr Tony Ho and Dr Chua Ee Chek?

Any reviews about their Lasik service?
