Hi all


I have also received a letter from YTPS re orientation on 21 Nov 2011. Noted that the children will be going to the classrooms. Any idea what they will be doing there?

Hi, I believe the kids will be asked to do some drawing since we’re told to bring pencils and colour pencils. Just a guess…might be more.

Finally registered him for school bus n bought uniforms for him… The queue for books is so long… He’s in apple orientation group. Anyone in the same group?? School bus under Aik wei.

I like their new uniforms! Much much nicer than the current ones.
By the way, the kids are required to wear black socks and black shoes right? Do you have any idea where to buy the black shoes? What type of black shoes is it?

I understand that the kids have to put the name tag (embroidered ones) above the crest on the top. Do you know where to get this name tags?

yes, they'll need to wear black socks and black shoes.. i stupidly went to ask the principal and must be without logos or designs.. pure black.. u can try cck swimming complex, the sports link there sells many designs for the black shoes..


my hubby paid and ordered the name tags. i heard it will be posted to our homes before school reopens.. there are dates on the purchase uniforms form in which they will be in the school to sell..

btw, i saw one lady yesterday at popular bookshop at lot one buying books in front of me.. i even shook hands with her.. were u the one?? :love:

i bought the textbooks from the sch on 21-Nov-11 so nope…i was not the one whom you shook hands with at Lot 1 hehe…


I found the order form (among the many pcs of papers in the file! haha) for the name tags. Will send it to the vendor as soon as I get the hubby to write me a cheque of $5 hehe…(me has no cheque).

I heard my fren said (yew tee teac told her) that while v hv our briefing in the hall ( orientation day),

our children were brought to computer class to do a test, aft 3 weeks when school reopen, they ll allocate them to diff classes depend of their result…
but… dunno true or not…

So that was the assessment that the principal was talking about at the orientation I guess. If that’s true, I wonder what they were tested as the principal mentioned they’ll base on their personality and their approach to their daily activities to split them into different class.

My son is in P3 this year.


When he was in P1, his friends were idenified to attend the Learning Support programs (LSP) for English and Chinese, thru the assesment done during orientation.
