        Hi,

So that was the assessment that the principal was talking about at the orientation I guess. If that’s true, I wonder what they were tested as the principal mentioned they’ll base on their personality and their approach to their daily activities to split them into different class.

My son is in P3 this year.

When he was in P1, his friends were idenified to attend the Learning Support programs (LSP) for English and Chinese, thru the assesment done during orientation.

          Not sure about now …

I kept forgetting to ask my girl if she was brought to a computer tob do some assessment. Will ask her tonight.

By the way, i went to bata to check out the black shoes. Found that there are 2 types. 1 is the sports shoes type (with velcro strips) and the other is the old-school type, ballerina shoes type for girls.

Any advice whether to get the sports shoes type of the ballerina shoes type? I can’t find any information on what type of shoes to get from Yew Tee Pri Sch website.

My girl confirmed she's indeed brought to the computer lab. The 1st question she remembered was about firefighter (something like : The firefighter ____ out the fire - a multiple question) . For sports shoes, either sports or mary jane type is ok. My thought is to buy the sports shoes since that is suitable for PE and lessons - just 2 cents of my thought 😉

vin: thanks for the advice. it makes sense since sports shoes type can be used for both PE and lessons.

oh no…i better go home and check with my girl is she can rem anything abt the computer assessment! but i suspect, she will not rem anything. everytime i ask her anything, her standard reply is ‘i don’t know’! argh…

From my kids experience, the bata shoes (Power) does not last more than 6 months. For about $10++ ($39.00), I bought Reebok and Addias shoes for them, other than outgrowing their size, the shoes are able to last them for the year.

As for the socks, I still have problems getting good qty cotton sock. Do share if you have found any good socks.
