2011 PSLE - Appeal for Sec School

:thankyou: OICzannelee:
My son got 250 and interested in nan hua. I m thinking of RV as first choice (last yrs COP was 253). He did not do HMT in PSLE. His Chinese is not strong but he managed A. He said RV 80% gals. Hope to hv some views on 1) Risk of putting RV as 1st choice 2) Will he be out of place due to Chinese in RV or Nanhua 3) How about his chances if ACS Indept is first choice instead of RV? Appreciate. Tsss.
250 should have no problem getting into Nan Hua and ACSI (express).
From the Nan Hua thread they do have normal chinese classes, not necessary must take HCL.
Most co ed IP schools have much more girls than boys.
RV, DHS, NJC all the same. -

Try st margaret's. A friend of mine who got 234 is putting that as her first choice. Just try.shrn88:
My DD got 238 and wants to go crescent girls. does she have high chances to get in? or she should appeal? kindly advise.
Try St.Magaret instead as her T-score is way out for Crescent. -
My DS got 226 but wants to go to St Andrew’s(COP 230). Do you think he has a chance?

Is anyone appealing to Temasek Sec Sch? My god son has a score of 220 and thinking of appealing to temasek sec.
Hi my DS is putting Temasek Sec as his 1st choice but his score is 229 and the COP for the school is 230 as so many have mention to put the school that you wanna appeal as your 1st choice for it to show commitment in appealing for the school . My elders DS is doing his Sec3 in Temasek Sec thats the reason why my 2nd DS wants so much to be in Temasek..
I am staying in Simei and was thinking to put Ngee Ann Sec(232), Pasir Ris (218), Pasir Ris Crest (220). Not sure what would be the best order though. Anyone have any advice on this? or even any other Better School that i should also put in?Would really appreeciate it..
