I think it will be good to hear the feedbacks from those who have really attended his class before.

                Hi HappyH,

I tried to reply your mail message yday but had some prob with my phone y/day.
DS(for boy? sorry seldom in this forum chatting to know the terms…haa) started in 2nd week Nov(after Fabian started his own group) and has attended 4 lessons till now. DS able to feedback to me that he learns more from Fabian than his other tuition centre(was there for 3 years).

                His feedback:
-learn different techniques in answering questions
-learn shorter routes to answer certain questions, saving time
-given more high order thinking questions and papers to attempt
-P5 but already started some PSLE questions…

                what I observe:
-Fabian changed some small negative habits(working all over, bad handwriting, missed-steps etc.) and instill discipline to see that in his work given.
-other than PSP, has another assessment bk not sold at Popular.
                -above as my boy feedback

Yes, agree price is steep but would continue to for now to see progress.
Got to go as just happen to see your message, will update more. Cheers!
Sorry for any typo error as rushing off!

                    Dear Bee85,

Does he seperate classes for average ability and high ability? Or does he accept children with any standards?

Does he strictly adhere to the class size of 5?

Does he run any centre near West side?

Thank you so much for your feedback.

                      Champion:
                      phtthp:

based on sales from Popular bookstore, seems like Andrew Er & Simon Eio more popular than Fabian Ng ?

If you view Popular online, Fabian Ng only has one assessment book available:-
                      https://www.popular.com.sg/jsp/product/product_detail.jsp?vca001=269&vpd001=70347
                      http://i52.tinypic.com/2qk5e0i.jpg\">

Andrew Er has at least 5 for the same level (P2):-
                      https://www.popular.com.sg/jsp/product/product_search.jsp?vca001=269&vas001=ARTISTS&KEYWORD=Andrew%20Er

                      Simon Eio has one too:-
                      https://www.popular.com.sg/jsp/product/product_detail.jsp?vca001=269&vpd001=67956
                      http://i53.tinypic.com/2jfmahf.jpg\">

So how do you justify \"based on sales from Popular bookstore, seems like Andrew Er & Simon Eio more popular than Fabian Ng ?\"

Some of Andrew Er's books have mistakes and honestly, I do not find them THAT challenging. Sometimes, they even test on certain things before the topic has been covered (eg. decimal places, multiplication of double digit numbers).

Fabian Ng's books are very thick. They have good coverage of certain difficult techniques but for the simpler techniques, it can be somewhat repetitive (a lot of practice for these type of problems too). So for brighter children, can focus more on the difficult ones and do only a few of the simpler ones.

Simon Eio's Step by Step Maths is suitable for most kids as it has a mixture of basic and more difficult problems. For more comprehensive practice of tougher problems, you may still need to get another book that focuses on such problems.

ans: no separate classes but group to upper & lower primary. His teaching style is going to individual ability, eg. Child A is learning whole numbers and still reinforcing(as he is average) and Child B has escalated to Ratio(as he is faster).

Does he strictly adhere to the class size of 5?
                        ans: so far Yes.

Does he run any centre near West side?
ans: he has another centre at Holland Close(or Ave? got to confirm)

Anyway, if you would like to know more, I can pm you his number?

I am not confirm confirm staying with him per say but will just continue through to 2012 as my boy feedback so far is positive to stay on. Withdrew him out from previous tution ctr already. Well, just got to give a try bcos my previous years not too courageous to change and boy is always hovering around 80/80+(with firm foundation) for P3/4 but just couldn't \"breakthrough\".

Hope my sharing is useful to you.
                        Cheers!
Thank you so much for your feedback.
😄 Hi HappyH, glad to reply as above
