I've never heard of using peanuts to help kids grow taller though in theory that does make sense, as peanuts is a good source of protein. But it's also one of the less healthy nuts and can cause serious allergies in children. You should be careful with that. In any case, the child should have a variety of sources for protein.

Not eating well definitely contributes to less-than-ideal growth. In fact, not eating well at any age has ill effects on health in many ways.

      Based on this chart http://www.hpb.gov.sg/edumaterials/download.aspx?id=5496

... your observations about your DD being smaller than her peers is probably correct. She appears to be in the 10 percentile.

I don't think it's too late to help though. You may want to consider doing something about her diet and eating habits. And don't forget she should get enough sleep!
I think peanut allergy is only of concern when the kid is below 1. She is already past one and likely not allergic. If not, it will be known by now since Asian diet is full of peanuts. Anyway, peanut allergy is less common among Asians. Maybe also becoz peanut is a staple ingredient in Asian cooking. It is only more well known as an allergy now because of the Westerners.

According to my aunt, the peanut root soup is good only nearer puberty. For gals, papaya soup works better.

Anyway, here is a record of my heights.

              Primary Five: 157.3cm

              4 years = 28.3cm

My boy has sufficient sleep and used to drink a lot of milk. He is 8 years old now and 1.55m tall.
:yikes: wow! That is super tall for a P2. You and/or spouse must be extremely tall. Genes play a big part so whatever methods we are mentioning are to boost the height beyond potential.

O_o 1.55m tall for a P2 is amazing! It might be prematurity too, though. There's this guy in my class that started puberty at Primary Three, now he stays put at the height of a mere 1.52m
