not to worry. she'll soon recover.
coming from a kindergarten smaller size class to a big school premises compound with so many other P1 children on orientation day suddenly ... kind of overwhelm her, hence she said all that. It's just like we feel uncomfortable when we start work on our first day at work, meeting our bosses & fellow colleagues in an unfamiliar environment.
give her sometime to adapt. once she get familiar with her form teachers, her classmates' faces whom she see daily, she'll warm up, go back to her usual self - chatty & confident again.
check out the canteen food quality in school. maybe good to pack some sandwiches (not plain bread) for her with ham, sausage, egg, tuna, cheese, lettuce etc. other days once a while, let her bring a warm flask that can keep long hours hot inside got piping hot, delicious home cooked food for recess. also pack something light for her to eat, on her way home inside the school bus, in case she hungry during journey home.
tell her don't buy so much stationery from school bookshop, because at home so many already. Ask her to show you how many rubbers, pencils, sharpener, ruler she already had purchased to date. because classmates tend to pull one another to the bookshop, after makan during recess. -
Hi all, is there anything we need to take note on the first day of school ? My girl will be in 1Boldness. Thanks.

Hi Big Bad Wolf, earlier info. was based on "Parents’ Programme on 3rd Jan 2012". There is another page on "Important Info. for Parents" which states - School Hours 1.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Please assemble in the hall by 12.30 p.m. on the first day.
During assembly: Parents are advised to remain at the back of the hall while pupils assemble for class. Student leaders and teachers will usher the pupils to their respective classes in the hall.
My son is taking school bus. The bus will be fetching him around 11.40 a.m. later. -

Hi,
Would like to ask this year’s P1 parents whose kids go to student care centres in the morning before school… Which centre does your P1 child attend? And the location?
Our girl is in P1 and she is the only P1 kid in her current student care centre. Moreover, there are only a handful of kids in the centre in the morning (as the other students are in am session and so come in in the afternoon), so she feels rather lonely and left out. Therefore considering transferring her to another centre with hopefully P1 students from HPPS. Thanks in advance. -
Hi hi
According to some reliable sources. ZT son is not in HPPS. The report in press is not accurate. Her son in SJI junior. Her hubby is alumni of SJI Junior, not HPPS.
