:slapshead: DD1 woke up at 530am this morning n all ready by 6 b4 waking me up. She told me she is very excited today :imcool: .
Pray that she will really enjoy her primary sch frm today onward.
May all DD n DS have a wonderful day at new schs today. -

Hello everyone, today is the day!
Hope our children are coping well with their P1 lessons.
Some of the kids here are in morning sess right? I m now at the school, waiting for the kids to assemble in the hall. -
I was actually feeling a bit sad that DS is starting P1. Maybe because he is the baby of the family.
Some hiccups on this 1st day of school. The school bus was 25mins late and all my attempts to reach to driver was met with an engaged tone. DS was starting to panic and told us that if the bus is still not there by 7am, we have to send him to school ourselves.
Went to the school at recess to see how DS was doing. He appeared fine with his buddy. But when we had a chance to speak to him, he said he wants to go home already. He complained that it has been very boring. I asked him what have they been doing, he said nothing, just sit and listen.
The process of getting the P1s back to the class after recess was a bit chaotic. Thereafter, we walked past DS's class and peeked in. That was about 15mins since they went back to class and we saw the kids all seated and waiting, not sure for what but they do not look at all engaged.
DH and I had our concerns when we saw the form teacher during the orientation but we thought, give it some time. But what we saw today did not help to assure us in any way. Haiz... still we say, give the tchr the benefit of a doubt, it is afterall only the 1st day of school. Just can't shake the feeling that this tchr is the non-engaging type. :sad:
Our experience with DD 2 yrs ago was way different. Her response was also way different. Then again, she is in a different school. :razz: -
