Hi there, any kids taking school bus no 1?
my kids taking the no1 bus and have problem with the bus’s aunty. My kids P1, their stop is the last stop. As its the last stop, Im sure they are pretty tired by the time they reach their stop. And they doze off. The bus aunty in order to wake my son up, she pulls his ear… till its so red and painful.
I only noticed it when i saw his ear… when we reached home. Im not sure other kids has this problem with this bus aunty or not. We have made a complain to the bus company… that was on the 1st week of school. And today she did it again.
Anyone has the same problem wth the bus aunty?
Should i complain to the school instead? -
My girl's class also did alphabets writing.
my girl in P1.6. But my boy's class P1.7 does not seem to have any homework most of the timegemsmommy:
Hi fellow mummies of KC children
My dd just joined Kheng Cheng P1 this year. I am very surprised that the homework she got from the beginning of 2nd week of school is the writing of 2 alphabets (upper and lower caps) each day. I have checked with a few of my friends whose kids are in P1 in other schools, but they didn't have to do this. -

I think you should. If she needs to wake yr boy she can just shake his shoulder or arms. My friend who's girl takes e school bus also complain that an Aunty is very fierce, prob e same Aunty. -

ya i guess must be the same aunty. She is very fierce and keep asking the kids to be fast & quick. I have complained to the bus company. If she does it again will go directly to the school.

May I have more reviews abt KCS? I am thinking to put my girl to the school next year…
My husband is KCS’s old boy so higher chance… Even though we stay near pei chun… We thinking not to take the risk…
Any mummies can give me more suggestions? -

Hi, I am thinking of transferring my dd to KCS this July-Aug as I will be moving to Toa Payoh. The other alternatives are Pei Chun and CHIJ Toa Payoh. Will a parent please share how the school culture is. Is the school focused on academic performance. Is it a very \"chinese\" environment. Do the students speak more mandarin or more english to each other. Are the students well behaved.May I have more reviews abt KCS? I am thinking to put my girl to the school next year..

I hope to get more reviews about Kheng Cheng too. Parents with kids in this Sch, how was the 2011 PSLE performance, highest aggregate and mean T-score? I tried checking with the school but they are very secretive. :scratchhead:
How is the school discipline? Does the Sch teach 'Di Zi Gui'? -
It depends very much what you expect from yr child and the school.
My boy was from KC from P1 to P3 before we transferrred him to a school which is nearer to our home. KC’s lower primary workload was not heavy, so it can be tough coping with the upper primary curriculum which was a big jump. My boy’s ex classmates fr KC (top 2 classes) had to deal with a lot of supplementary lessons during P5 and P6. They were almost ‘burnt-out’ before the PSLE last year.
However, I must say that we like the caring environement that KC provides. The teachers are helpful and caring, the students are friendly and less competitive among one another.
If you like a less stressful lower primary curriculum and is willing to support your child with home coaching or tuition, KC is good choice. However, there is a lot of catch up to do from P4 onwards.
There is another pratical consideration at P1 registration. KC has become more popular. Last year, all vacancies were taken up at Phase 2C for the first time. So you need to plan wisely.
No matter what school your child is in, they will still take the same PSLE as other peers. As parents, we can always level the playing fields through our own efforts.
