Evalim:
My friend enquired at the school yesterday. Apparently the COP for both Arts and Science streams is 9.Hi! I would like to ask for anyone knows NYJC COP this year? If nett 11 any chances to appeal? Please advise me.
Thank you!
I can't be certain though.
I say go for it! Especially if NYJC's your 1st choice in your JAE choices and if you have a strong academic record (for academic appeals) or can appeal using your CCA. Check out the column on the left of the website: http://www.nanyangjc.org/
NYJC was my first choice but I didn't get in (9 points after bonus points reduction).

Thanks! We have gone for the appeal and we are waiting for their call, I have called them yesterday and the list of appeal has gone up to 600 plus... quite shocking... anyway we will still try! Thanks!

Can anyone please enlighten me if raw score still play a role in the JC’s acceptance’ decision? Previously I was told that JC only look at the net score of the pupil, eg., the pupil who scored raw 12 net 8 stands the same chance as another who scored 10 net 8 and a higher chance over a raw 11 net 9 pupil.

According to the JAE handbook-
Applicants with the same net aggregate score vying for the last place in a course will be posted based on their citizenship followed by their gross aggregate score. The posting of candidates with the same gross aggregate score will be determined by a computerised ballot where each candidate is given an equal opportunity.
So, gross score does play a part.
