Wow! Which class is your DS in? I really think you should have a word with the teacher. Up to this point, I think the P1 kids are still quite blur on things. So it’s only natural they misplaced, not sure where are things (though its in the bag) or not conform to the school requirement or standard. They should be given some chance to improve by encouraging words and definitely not by punishing! That will definitely scare them or a turn off for the kids to go to school.

        :slapshead:

Spoke to the teacher. Raised even more questions. And I explained to her that DS is a very serious boy. He takes rules and instructions very seriously. But he is still just a 6yr old kid and sometimes can get overwhelmed by everything that is happening and forget some stuff. So what happened yesterday affected him a lot. There was some

Anyway, now I have some idea what his teacher is like. More importantly, DS appears to have come to terms with what has happened. Told me, I know I am not a naughty boy and then ran off to play. 😂

I think he will come back with more 'revelations' later. He is like that. If you explain certain things to him, he will keep quiet, or ask very few questions at first. Then when you think the issue is over or that he accepted what you told him, he will suddenly bring it up and disect that conversation that took place hours or sometimes days ago.

            Hi jeanieg

I think my DD1 (P3), another school, was told to buy and i bought her the Creative Hansvision one, which MOE has approved for it to be use in exam halls. Cant remember model off hand but if u visit the popular bookshops, they would be able to advise further. BTW, my DS2 in P1 Adapt has not been told to purchase any yet.
            Hope this helps.
            😄

              Hi beary hug

Yes I have heard of the Hansvision one. Think it costs about $30+.
Guess have to ask the Chinese teacher about it. Was thinking of getting a more sophisticated one as my Chinese is hopeless and I think it will be helpful.

Btw my girl is in P1 Adapt too. I have PMed you.
              Thanks for feedback.

I asked the mother tongue teacher before and she said no need for now. for me, I have been using google translate online to help DS with his Chinese. Same here, my Chinese is hopeless..

                    Hi P1 mommies

I am not sure if you know of this, but there is a special Primary 1 blogsite under the school’s website. It’s on the left side of the website under BLOGS. You need to sign in using your child’s BC no. I think it is still under construction as there are some categories where there is no content yet. There are some photos of the PAL programme though and there is something called AsknLearn which is pretty useful. Do check it out.

                      Hi,

My son is interested to take up Golf as CCA next year (p3).
I checked the school website, golf lesson will be once a week, after sch hr 2-4.30pm @ Jurong Country club.

Anyone can advise if the sch provide transport from sch to club and from club back to home??? or at least a one way transport from sch to club?

Both me and hubby are working …hence transportation will be a big headache for us if he would have joint.

                      Thanks in advance

Best to check with the golf CCA teacher i/c if the CCA website doesn’t say? I would think that there would minimally be transport from school to club.
