Pcps is a SAP school, so be prepared for "chim chim" Chinese. The science also seems to get very tough in the upper primary school and even the good classes are not managing well with the CAs and SAs.

            Hi,

Iโ€™ve intentions of sending my boy to Pei Chun. I was browsing through their school website and it seems like the school does not focus on sports or CCA at all.

For parents with kids in the school, is that true? Do you think your children enjoy studying there? Iโ€™m very worried that the school just focus a lot on academics and Iโ€™m not sure if it would be too stressful for my kid.

The school has sports classes for selected students playing volley ball, basket ball nd table tennis. Their wushu not bad either, I think. My dd left Pei Chun to another pri sch actually miss Pei Chun very much. Her other school is actually more streeful than Pei Chun.

                    Little Star / NatTif Mummy,

Iโ€™m a little confused regarding the sports classโ€ฆ so only the selected can attend the sports class. Then what happens to the rest? Isnโ€™t sports such as Wu Shu, Volleyball etc ECAs that any student can enroll? And do they still have regular PE lessons regardless of this sports class thingy?

Only selected P2 students will be put into sports class from P3. They will be trained for school team. The sports class students stay back 2 afternoons for training.
Other students can still join basket ball and volley ball as normal CCA.
I think there will be further slection at P4. My gal transferred out after P3, so not so sure. Little Star would know more details than me.

Oh...there will be only 1 Sport class left next year for Pr 5 , as those who did very well in the exams will be place in the top classes and those who did average will be out of Sport class next year but the students can still continued with the training during PE. The rest will be in the Sport class.

Sport Class will have extra 1 more PE.

School stressed that to be in the Sport class, both sport and school works are equally important and must do well. My boy loves his both form teachers(Pr 3 & Pr 4) since he joined Sports class. He is still in the Sport class next year. ๐Ÿ˜‰
