hey nettie, can u elaborate on the safety feature that the other 3 don’t have? when i visited atwood, i honestly wasn’t impressed with the quality… they r cheap and look cheap. the chairs bundled with the desk looked flimsy and uncomfortable and by the time u upgrade to their premium chair, it isn’t any cheaper than the others. i also don’t feel comfy buying from someone that operate out of a warehouse in some ulu place n their products r from china anyway.

i haven’t decided yet which one to buy as i’m waiting for march school holidays to see if there is any better deal.

The tables that I seen have an open jaw on the legs for adjustments. If the child were to put the fingers there while adjusting the tables, I think will be badly injured.

I can also adjust any angle up to 35 degree, but kids2youth have their limitations. When I press the lever to adjust the angle, it go upwards instead of downwards… This is another feature for safety…

Honestly I think safety is more important than the outlook… I agree that I prefer the design n feel of kids2youth but safety is the one that I refuse to compromise.

if safety is really that important to you as you claim, then you should have done some research on their products. do you really know the kind of materials they use? you can read in previous postings in this thread.

in any case, all intelligent desks design like moll/crosscom, kinder fun, kid2youth and ergo works are such that when you activate the gas lift, it is to adjust the desk upwards. to adjust downwards, you use gravity to assist you. so if you press the lever, the desk goes down.. i can't imagine how hard it would be to adjust it higher.

i'm a very detailed person and i'm still doing my homework and based on what you said, i find your posting rather misleading. you seem quite biased by the way you talk about at wood products. it would seem like you're getting a mercedes-benz for the price of a chery QQ. i just hope you're not one of the staff masquerading as a customer to mislead genuine customers because i find some of the things you say about the other brands quite untrue. this makes me so sick!

sohahlien, of cos I had also done my homework with my hubby on the material they (the brands that i had visited) use too but i shall not go into details..

If you read all my posting in this KS forum.. you will know if i am staff of atwood or not. Why are you so defensive and post such offensive remarks \"this makes me sick\" when i am just giving my 5 cents worth? :stompfeet:

Everyone of us have our own preference and point of views, if my views or comment doesnt agreed with yours.. then you should take it as a pinch of salt. What you had just posted is very uncalled for.. This really make me feel that you are one of the staffs instead.

This is a discussion AND it is not a place for us, KS parents write something offensive that lead to unhappiness. All of us want the best for our kids, thus we come together and share our views and experience. So do you?

I have both tables and chairs from kinderfun and Atwood (i.e. one set each). Based on my personal experience, it is you pay what you get....i.e. Atwood's quality can't hold a candle against kniderfun. The set from Atwood gives you the feeling that it is made in China whereas the kinderfun's furniture gives you the impreesion that it is made in Western country.

                Exactly my opinion!

Is an amazing run to decide the ultimate Study Desk and Chair for my boy. When to explore Kinderfun,Kids2youth Ergoworks and Atwood. Kinderfun seems high end and Ergoworks design is pretty nice. Atwood looks corporate but very sophisticated with so many add on.

Anyway settle with Kids2youth and Kinderfun as last comparison. Found Kids2youth worth while with 5 reasons.

                  1) Chair is light compared to Kinderfun chair that will damage my floor because is extremely heavy.
                  2) Table is with wheels, easy to move the table around (Good feature)
                  3) Price is cheaper with throw in's like the 3M lamp, table mat and book holder.
                  4) Love the colors (is funky and nice)
                  5) Warranty is 10 years and 5 years (nice, especially when you draw on the table, it is easily removed with water and soap.

                  Nice item to have....

                  🆒

Bought Kids2youth for the colors, features and services. I think the company is alright, but did some further research the technology is German! This is the confident part of it!..Cheero!

                      Hi all,

I've been reading and following this thread. I think it is not necessary for users to argue about which brands and also trying to sell their brands here. I have compiled a list of all the children ergonomic desks & chairs that are represented by several companies in Singapore for all kiasu parents reference.

CrossCom - Moll Funkstionsmbel GmbH, Germany. website: http://www.moll-system.com.

Ergoworks, Atwood, Kid2Youth Desks - Kuangshin Entreprises Co., Ltd(website: http://www.kuangshin.com) and TCT Nanotec Ltd Co., Ltd, Taiwan(website: http://www.tctnano.com) all from Taiwan.

Jarrons - HEINZ KETTLER GmbH & Co. KG, Germany(http://www.kettler.de), ROVO(http://www.rovo.de)

Kinderfun - Comfpro,Tay Huah Furniture Corp, Taiwan (http://www.comfpro.com.tw), KETTLER.

Be careful when you are looking for an ergonomic table and desk for your child. Don't be mislead by the sales persons who told you some information which are inaccurate and untrue. They claim their products are Germany technology, what technology is there? Can they present the test certifications from Germany? I doubt. Another one is regarding the long warranty for the Stabilus gas springs which I couldn't find from Stabilus website - http://www.stabilus.com.

These misinterpretations are very unethical especially we are talking about the health and safety of our children. Parents should use their own judgement and discretion to decide what is best for their little ones.

hmmm... looks like someone has been going around promoting atwood. why ah? i wonder ... or is it as obvious as it appears? ... and all the badmouthing about other companies' product safety, warranty etc... masquarading under different nicknames... that is really below the belt. In a beauty contest, the winner is likely the gorgeous, gracious, and classy. A good product sells by itself lah. No need to badmouth others.

                        http://i49.tinypic.com/66ywx2.jpg\">

This one is a veiled attempt at discrediting and casting doubts on Kinderfun and Kid&youth because they are the only ones using German gas springs Stabilus.
