Initially i thought this CA1 was taken into consideration. My girl was down and missed her P4 CA Science paper on Tuesday. The FT told me that this CA1 is for revision and not taken into consideration...hehe. My DS did within our expectation, so we are giving him a good treat for the upcoming school holidays. This will be a good gauage of your child capability, so can use the school holiday to work on the weaker area.

Hi Parents
Just wan to get an opinion.
Last week, DS told me his classmate borrowed $2 from him. The next day, this classmate (B) wanted to borrow money from him again and DS refused. DS asked him to return the $2, to which B said he only has $1 and he borrowed $1 from classmate C to return DS. DS reminded him to return the $1 to
but somehow B misunderstood and thought that DS wants him to return $2 to him and $2 to
. Confusing rite?
Anyway DS told me abt the incident that nite but I thot small issue la, let the kids handle themselves and told DS to explain to (B) that he is not asking for extra $2. The next day, DS told me (B) had told his mum about this incident.
I was thinking, should I inform the tr abt this, cos I do not wan any misunderstanding that DS is a mini-loanshark.
What do you think? Am I over-reacting? -
Bluebells,
For a moment i thought you are asking us a Math question
In my humble opinion, you should inform class FT about the case. My DS told me that their class FT had told them not to borrow $ for their classmates and if really need $ for recess, they are to inform the FT.
Also why did B borrowed $$ from your DS? FOr recess or for other purposes? Also i think it's good to let the FT know about B borrowing habits as he may have done the same with other classmates. Kids, at this age, do not really understand the concept of monies and many times, $$ come too easily for them. So B may treat borrowing as a game.
Hope this helps and enjoy the upcoming PTC this friday and the one week holiday ahead.
Cheers,

Hahas...last Friday, I noticed my DS wallet has more than what I gave him for pocket money....
Upon asking him, he said one boy gave it to him. I've told him not to take the $$ even if given, their parents might ask. I'm wondering what's happening too... :? I thought I wanted to monitor him to see if it still happens, now it seems not only my DS is affected, something fishy is going around our kids. Think should inform the FT just in case. -
I agree with Astee, better to inform the FT. Hmm, I have not been checking my DSโ wallet lately. May be should do so tonight just to be sure. If I am in your shoes, I will inform the FT right away.
Looking forward to this Friday PTC to chat with the teachers. And it is a rest day for all of us, no need to wake up early to prepare lunch :-). -

THanks All. I emailed the FT and she said she will check with the boys. I hope this doesn't affect the children's friendship. DS doesn't like me to give feedback to his FT as he thinks FT may scold him or his friend will be upset with him. Hope the FT handle it delicately.I agree with Astee, better to inform the FT. Hi Ladies,
Me too, I can't wait for this Friday PTC to meet up with this FT and the new MT teacher and have a chat with them!! My son has been behaving well ever since the \"run away\" incident but the result for his Term 1 CA is only average (sitting on the border line) Haiz..
I certainly have lots/tons of feedback for the FT and his MT teacher!!
