Hi Ectanz, At last you get to meet the FT. This must be your first child & first PTM, or else you will not be so kancheong. My girl is in 1E & their English teacher is not on the list. I can only booked the Chinese teacher since all the FT's slots have been taken up. I guess you only have one teacher on the list is due to the FT takes the class for both English & Maths. Just like me, don't know why the English teacher is not on the list.

      :?

Ya, u r right. My child's FT takes on English and Math. Beside these two subjects, she also in-charge of their other subjects such as social studies and FTGP. Not easy to be a lower Pri teacher. Juz heard fr my child that her Chinese teacher was in China for whole wk. This might be the reason why she is not in the PTM list.

When my boy was in P1 to P4, his FT took them for 2 to 4 subjects. It is easier to teach P1 to P4. Whereas, P5 & P6 teachers are specialise in certain subjects & they also have greater responsibility, due to PSLE. Some P6 classes are take by HOD & subject heads. Btw, FTGP is actually FT & her class bonding session.

I understand some P1 kids go to school at 11am everyday. Wed is speech & drama day but what about the rest of the days? Does the school ask those who don’t do well in their mastery test to go to school at 11am?

Hi, my girl given 3 teachers to choose and yet i can't get a slot for PTM. i will just skip this time round.

Wow..3 teachers yet can't get a slot? 33 slots for 30 students, maybe they are booked by other class students. Next round book earlier. Actually, not necessary to go every term. Waiting time is longer than meeting teacher time.

I signed up as Parent Volunteer last year. So far, only volunteer for one event, which was to bring my son's class to Zoo last year.

My son was very happy to see me getting involved in his field trip. He requested that I volunteer again for his future field trips or family day in school 🙂

This is one way for the kids to see your involvement with their school.

That sounds great. Helping up & bonding with your son at the same time. Homemakers usually volunteer themselves for field trips. Whereas, road safety, library etc will require at least once a week commitment.
