I don’t think every teacher has a blog…heard 1 respect teacher blog everyday on what was taught in class and inform parents of test content. Not from

1 compassion teacher, had to email her to ask. Wish she starts a blog soon to keep parents if class progress…really cool.

My girl’s teacher updates homework there in lead but didn’t know they can have a blog? The parents in my dd’s class are updated via emails and SMS most of the time…

Thanks everyone for your comments and advices. Actually regarding these issue I have already talked with the teacher couple of times. And i have tried to make her understand my girl situation. But her comment is, she has already gave my girl enough time (3 months)!! For example during the every week spelling test my girl always get 8 or 9 out of 10. But unseen dictation she is little bit week ( 2 or 3 out of 5). It is never possible to get full marks in unseen dictation. Also in compo writing she didnt like the way my girl did, she just made a big cross on the answer.

During this age kids need lot of encouragement from parents and also from the teachers. I would like to know does other P2 teachers also have same type of attitude?

zNz,if talking to the teacher is not working, I will call the Vice Principal or level head... don't let it drag too long, it will only demoralise your girl further... what kind of teacher is this? by the way, where was your girl studying before you came back to Singapore?

gorilla, Chinese teacher doesn't reply to emails? Or takes like a week to do so?

michyms, doesn’t reply to my note in helpmate. Didn’t call when form teacher told me she would. Will be emailing her, see if I get any response.

yes. shld highlight to the VP cos sooner or later, the child will hv phobia to go sch.

my DD aso say her tcher is v strict with d class. whenever there is class test, she never says when is the test date except tat it will be held one of the days in that week. its even more stressful if we parents dun know when is the exact test date. 🤷

serpent, my dd's form teacher told me the teachers are NOT allowed to divulge the test dates except inform parents of the topic and the week when it is happening. To me, it is the strangest thing. If its a surprise test, by all means make it a real surprise, why tell me some and then don't tell me the full details? So that I can revise with my dd by the weekend before and be ready anytime? :scratchhead: i don't get it.
