      Hi Ninjago,

Yes, i guessed most parents were concerned about the new school hours. After half year of adjusting, i think we are all now getting used to it. Both children and parents. To be honest, the children seem to like the extended hours. (Both my children told me the same... )

I am not too sure for P6 classes but i think some of the classes stayed longer on certain days for higher chinese lessons.

      Regards,
      Astee

      Hi parents,
Understand the sch started the long day just this yr. Any concerns? about lunch in sch? More periods? Cos I feel to have sch end after 2pm can be quite taxing, esp it includes the P1 too? So the P6 classes end at 4pm?

Hello, I just graduated from TGPS last year. πŸ˜„ I got a humble score of 259 for PSLE (not too good, far from my expectations) But I would say TGPS is really a good school and in my heart, it would definitely not be any other neighbourhood school πŸ˜‰ Especially, my form teacher for P5 and P6 really inspired me to work hard and that's when I really pulled up my socks after idling for 4 years πŸ˜‰ all my friends also missed TGPS terribly. I MISS THE FAMILIAR SCHOOL COMPOUND!! πŸ˜„

            Hi Assabelle,

Thank you for sharing your PSLE result with all the mommies/daddies here. You did the school proudness by obtaining a good grade in the exam and set a good role model for all the juniors whom are hoping to reach the same milestone as you in years to come.

Do come back and visit the teachers on the various occassion when school is open to all old girls/boys.

Good luck to your secondary school life and enjoy the journey like you did before.

            Regards,
            Aunty Astee πŸ˜„

                To all mommies/daddies,

Those of you whom are registering your DD/DS for P1 in 2013, remember to monitor this site carefully, so you will have an idea of the take up rate at the school/s of your choice/s.

                  Hi Tanglin & Ching,

I am also staying with 1km away from TGPS; which block are you staying?
we are also due for 2012 registration πŸ™‚

we are still thinking whether to send our DD to TGPS or TVPS (because of their inhouse AFC)...

                  Hi mng_kl,

My gal is also due for registration this yr and i could not decide which school to go for:-

                  1) TVPS - 1km (nearest to where I stay)
                  2) TGPS - 1km
                  3) KCPPS - 1-2km
                  4) YZPS - 1-2km

I will be going to the open house at TGPS on 30/6 and TVPS on 7/7. Hope I will be able to decide then.

                  Hi Astee and Rejoice *wave*

                  :lovesite:

                    Hi all,

Sorry for not posting for a long while. Yes, like what Astee said been busy with SA1, then school holiday and work (:-(). Haha. Good to see so many people interested in sending the kids to TGPS.

Hehe. School open house tomorrow. From the response of this thread, looks like we will expect quite a lot of parents coming tomorrow. DS will be helping out at the school tomorrow as a scout. You may see him tomorrow (the skinny and blur blur one, haha).

Last week, we also receive a letter from the principal surveying about a after school care within the school compound. This will be something good for the kids since they will get to spend the afternoon with their school mates together at the school. Also will be very convinient for parents aspecially working parents like us. I do hope that they get enough good response to make it happens.

                    Hi Ninjago,
After going through 2 terms of the extended school hours, I think my DS is used to it by now. It is a bit harder for me since I am a working mother and has to get up very early every morning to prepare lunch for him. Miss the holiday time when I can catch some sleep :-). So one more thing in my wish list to school is that they can cater lunch for the students (or in the student care even with the longer school hour), haha.

                      Hi all,

Just. Amex back from the open house. Exhausted but fun. Hope those who went have as much fun too. I can tell the teachers and students had put in lots of effort in this open house. I found the upper primary students there very helpful and polite. I think no less than 8 students have come to offer my younger boy a balloon. But he was too shame to take any, haha. Also saw quite a lot of parents bringing their K2 kids there to check out the school. Hope the visit help them to make the right choice for their children. I think we will definitely go to open house again next year, haha.

Thanks Rejoice137… I was wondering what kind of food can be prepared to last till lunch time. Now in childcare I will only prepare cakes or ham sandwich as son is one of those that report at 7am. breakfast is only served at 830am n my instruction is to eat n not keep for noon tea break.

As for student care, now quite a number at Ananias at blk 336. Hope they move them over as I intend to put son there next yr P1. Guess student care in pipeline with the indoor sports hall construction so will take another yr or so.
