Did your child attend any extra enrichment lessons outside of school, u coach him at home yrself or tuition? Or you just rely on school core curriculum?
If No, what level & which subject did u test your child on rosyth nanyang papers? Lower primary ? -
Hi, any parents called up the school to register ur interests to attend a something like an open house? I just registered my name and is unsure how long do I have to wait.

After reading a string of complaints about the Principal and the approach adopted by the school in this forum, I can’t help but contribute my opinion.
My DD is in P2 this year. So far, she’s really happy there. Before enrolling her to NVPS, I’ve read about the ‘tyrannical’ P, but both hubby and I decided that it’s the teacher who will teach our DD, not him.
She was lucky to have a dedicated and sweet teacher. So far, the teacher is spot on in her observations about DD, and has given my DD opportunities to grow, such as appointing her as the "Vice Chairperson" (i.e. Asst Monitor) to encourage her to be bolder.
And on the other hand, DD is not enjoying Chinese as she finds her Chinese teacher too boring. I think, although the Principal is important in crafting the direction of the school, it is ultimately the teacher who manages to engage her students who will win the battle for the school.
If I had been 100% concerned with DD’s academic achievements alone, I wouldn’t have bothered with NVPS (which is new and untested) and would have fought tooth and nail to get her into more established schools in Sengkang.
All said, DD is still in P2, and we’ll see how things go. -
my son born in 2006, will register in phase 2c on monday. any more parents for p1?

Registered DD in NVP, but face uncertainty. Now just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Hi, my child will be registering for Pri 1 in year 2014.
Just wondering if anyone of you have heard of Parents doing Parent Volunteer in NVPS?
We are staying within 1km and wonder what will the chances be like if we were to register NVPS in Phase 2C. Would we need to be a PV to get into the school?
Thank you! -
Hi Mrs Chong,
I think you should be quite safe if you stayed within 1km.
Why don’t you call the school for further advise?
Good luck!
