-
I think parent can choose 1 or 2. Choose 1, and get only one ballot slip. I if get both twin get into school. Choose 2, get 2 ballot slip, possible one twin get in and one dont
-
Then he must choose one slip if not, one get in and the other one don’t , how!?!?

This p1 regi stuff is making everyone so nervous.

Hi,
I’m hoping to get my DD into Nanyang Pri under phase 2B. Registration is tomorrow and based on MOE stats, 24 place but 30 people already registered today.
Need to calculate our chances, Do any of you know how many PVs the school takes each cohort?
I leave within 1KM and am really starting to get worried about the balloting…Any info will be appreciated. -
You need to find out if the 30 applicants how many are within 1km, then you can assess the situation better. Ask school staff member how many PVs they should be able to tell. But base on past records need to ballot within 1km for phase 2b (if I recall correctly).

Thanks Ribena48. Will the staff actually tell the registrants how many applicants are within 1 KM or more?
Sigh…My back up is RGPS but that is between 1-2km. That would mean i’ll have to go through this stress again when my DS goes to P1 in 2016.
Not too sure if I should take the chance and just try to ballot for NYPS at least got 2 chances 2B & 2C -

Usually they will display the breakdown by distance at the entrance of the registration area. but do note that the stats are only updated periodically.
good luck ! -

My friend is going to register for Radin Mas, I said for twins, even though 2 heads but consider as one applicant. But he said no. Eg. 20 seats left and if he register for his twins, will bal be 20-1=19 or 20-2=18. Who is right?
it would be 20-2 = 18
but during ballot, at the finally 20th lot his twin is picked, the school will take in 21. -
Also happen before, twenty vacancies, twenty one register and all 21 got in cuz have a set of twins. so I guess twins is count as 1, but 2c minus one vacancy.
-
The staff should give a breakdown distance of the 30 applicants, that is, within 1km, 1-2km or 2km. I think no risk if you go for RGPS as you are 1-2km zone. But I understand your concern, as you have to think of ds too. Whichever you choose, wish you good luck!
